I can't understand why some are bashing a guy who, not only bought a .2 GT3 (which many here either have or long for), appears to respect the car and its ability (which many here do as well), shared not only his pick up experience (which many on here do as well), but also shared his car's build experience from WITHIN the factory (which many here would give an arm to do)...finally the guy takes his car on the track (which many here do as well), at the Nurburgring no less (which many here would LOVE to do)!!
Yes the guy is clearly a track newbie, (i.e., use of harnesses w/out a HANS) but he appears to be having FUN with his car, It can't be just his voice, are some folks just outright jealous of Shmee!

Well I can't speak for anyone else but I'm sure as hell am glad that I'm not Shmee. If I were Shmee I would first change my youtube name, that in and of itself is annoying. Then I would work on maybe manning up a bit and not act like I'm playing with my Hot Wheels (or Barbies for that matter) all the time. Acting naturally and genuine as a person is far more appreciated than someone who is obviously acting with his exuberance. That comes off as not trustworthy and lacks integrity. These are just a few reasons imo why he has an air of annoyance about him. Most can smell BS from a mile away, like a friend who exaggerates or embellishes his stories.
However he is doing something right to get the access he does, but for the life of me I can't see how he accomplishes it.

I started watching him early on before he had a huge following. His access is great and he is very intelligent about the cars and does his homework. All I am sure shows his dedication and his hard work to the craft. For me his over the top exuberance is just like nails on a chalkboard.
His best video to date is the one of the M2 Comp that he just did because he wasn't live and he just narrated it. He toned it down a couple of notches and it really was enjoyable to see the video and learn about the car. I also like the fact that he does all sorts of cars, not just one brand.

oh and all the people "bashing" on the people that are "bashing", now that is hypocritical. I am so tired of the nanny state and people not being able to speak their mind. Yes this forum is one. If you dislike anything here, people seem to be offended easily. Some of these PTS colors that are just awful is a perfect example, everyone just says "oh that looks wonderful". Heaven to betsy someone posted, yeah that is ugly and you have way too many colors going on there.

Is it really bashing if that many people don't like him or his voice? OR could it be that he is really annoying and people can just decide not to like him? Let's all agree to love him, give him a blue participation ribbon and tell him to carry on with his wonderful videos. Heaven for bid someone give him a little criticism to decide if he wants to take the feedback or not and make more people like his videos.

I love the cars but this guy is tough to watch. I did watch it though bc the car sounds soooo good but schmee (or whatever he calls himself) doesn't. So kinda like watching your mother in law drive off a cliff in your GT2 RS - good and bad. Before anyone jumps on me about mother in laws.... I love mine.... it just a southern expression to make a point....

He says right at the beginning it is his first solo lap, he is not trying to be a hero, and just wants to have fun. For some people having fun is all that matters. I have no problem with that. He never tries to portray himself as a serious race driver. We sure have a lot of forum warriors here who like to talk a big game but who knows what their actual driving ability is. Never understand all the bashing. If you don't like him simply don't watch.
