I went for leather vent surrounds and black vents with contrast stitching. It looks great. Red stitching on the 2rs and yellow on the 3RS. I didn’t opt for it on the touring and I am regretting it.

You can also CXX leather stitched vent surrounds with regular plastic slats. Though they screwed up mine and accidentally did leather slats as well. Not the end of the world...

Was the leather vent surrounds stitching different or the same as the contrast stitching?

Painted vent slats look fantastic. I have them in my 991.1 RS, turned out better then anticipated. What's cool is that it deletes the aluminum surrounding the vent and in its place you get the leather with matched stitching (we've all seen the pics). Was glad I ordered them as looks fantastic, and really looks good if ordered in combination with the extended leather dash and extended leather on steering column. The vents don't have to be the body color. For my 991.2 RS, once again ordered this option only this time went with the vent slats painted gloss black (car is Lizard). the extra lizard stitching will look fantastic. Plus, the painted vent slats look really nice, a massive improvement over the flat cheaper looking plastic. I know its silly for a car that will see a lot of track time, but its a nice option that really makes the interior look cool.

I love the look of the leather vent trim. But I don't like the painted slats. I opted for the painted vent trim/surrounds (black), to get rid of the silver look.

Here's a pic of my spec (leather dash trim, leather vent surrounds, black stitch). Vents were spec'd to have plastic slats but Porsche accidentally built them with leather slats. I do really like the removal of the painted silver vent surround with this option.
