Default GT3 RS - tint the windows, or not??

Hi All - just picked up a low mileage 2016 GT3 RS in white. As this has been my dream car for longer than I can remember, I'm completely in love.

It didn't come with any mods, other than a black roof panel which looks pretty great with the other black accents. This has me thinking about tinting the windows. The plan is to put a roll bar, harnesses and track it alongside my other car (Shelby GT350R).

The question for you guys is: Should I tint the windows on the GT3? Is that somehow considered taboo on an RS?

I'm rather undecided, but figured I need to make a decision before I put the roll bar in and it becomes impossible.

I have not owned one single car ever in my life that I have not tinted the windows and that is 20+ and counting. You know my answer.

Where do you live ? Since it gets to a 110 degrees in the summer near me, I tint all vehicles. Make sure you get a ceramic tint with nano technology. Stay away from dyed tints

I live in Connecticut, so don't have those temps here.

However, this car will spend the majority of it's time on the track, with less than 1k miles on the street per year.

I like the tint for privacy - don't feel like people look at you as much when you're driving the car. but I like no tint for looks. it's a great looking interior, and the car looks more badass without it, IMO. especially if you're going to put a cage in it. tinted cars definitely feel more street focused. that's my 2 cents anyways.

I tint almost all my cars , but I did not tint my GT3 or GT3RS, and both were white. Not sure why , but to me it did not feel right on a GT car .

Tint the windows at 40% I find that adds a bit of looks but doesn't look cheap, and still classy.

In that case, I wouldn't. I only do it here for heat rejection, not as a cosmetic mod.

I think you should revert the car to stock. No tints and roof wrap. Who knows what condition the paint is underneath?

I cant believe you are even worried about tint. Tint the thing. It's not very expensive, protects the inside, and looks nice. How's that black roof working out for you?
