Default GT3 Touring $300K?

My usual Sunday morning web browsing and low and behold 600 mile Touring on Autotrader with ask price $300K!!

Surely this must be very optimistic, no??

I know the Touring production numbers will end up being relatively modest but, really??

Can't post link cuz I'm a tech moron, sorry........

It is my personal prediction that come March 2019,when all the MY2018 GT3’s have been delivered, the .2GT3, especially Touring, will all appreciate from from whatever market price was in December 2018. I am basing this prediction on the fact that there will be no more NA GT3 from that point on going forward. Let’s see.

You should then spend your entire life's fortune and your kids college funds on buying these up. If you are not that confident, you shouldn't speculate. It is comments like this that people do crazy things. You are probably the same that said the R was going to be that very last manual ever made. How do those folks that bought them for $400K+ feeling about now. That didn't work out.

Bottom line these could but most likely WILL NOT do what you say because Porsche will continue to develop the "next better thing" that everyone will want thus actually dropping the prices. The holy grail of the 4.0 and other bubble wrapped, delivery mile cars are a very small piece of the pie.

The folks that are asking $300K for a GT3 will NEVER get that. Go ahead and wrap it up, store it and maybe, just maybe you will be lucky enough to get that in so many years that the cost of storage alone will not make that a very good pay out.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Unlike the rest of the line which is focused on meeting emissions and efficiency world standards, the GT3 is built based on homologation rules for GT3 racing class. There is no such demands forcing Porsche to go turbo on the GT3. They could, but they don’t have to or need to.

I don't agree with his opinion, but he has put his money where his mouth is. He has a winged 991.2 and a Touring.
