Gentlemen let us not be Philistines, maybe when you are describing the rarest of a antiquities, as in this case, the word opertunity has a special meaning.........like who out there, is a big enough of an idiot to go for this deal.

Well apparently 6,000 people have figured out that it’s a bad deal.

This reminds me of a line from the movie Cool Hand Luke, 1967 film in which actor Strother Martin exclaims........ "what we've got here is failure to communicate".

You should then spend your entire life's fortune and your kids college funds on buying these up. If you are not that confident, you shouldn't speculate. It is comments like this that people do crazy things. You are probably the same that said the R was going to be that very last manual ever made. How do those folks that bought them for $400K+ feeling about now. That didn't work out.
Bottom line these could but most likely WILL NOT do what you say because Porsche will continue to develop the "next better thing" that everyone will want thus actually dropping the prices. The holy grail of the 4.0 and other bubble wrapped, delivery mile cars are a very small piece of the pie.
The folks that are asking $300K for a GT3 will NEVER get that. Go ahead and wrap it up, store it and maybe, just maybe you will be lucky enough to get that in so many years that the cost of storage alone will not make that a very good pay out.

Now your statement of "Porsche will continue to develop the next best thing that everyone will want" is not always true. Just look at the air cooled cars. Prices are rising because some people still think a Porsche has to be air cooled. Their are many older cars that I would much rather have than most of the new ones that are out.

Well to some people the extra 100k is like $.50, and they are skipping months of waiting and potentially not getting a "soda" at all.
i wouldn't call that persona sucker if they are so wealthy and so busy they just want to walk in, buy a car, and drive out as fast as possible and get back to their awesome life.
Just saying

if a soda was a dollar, but there was a line an hour long for the soda, but some guy just got his $1.00 soda and offered it to you for $1.50 im sure you'd take it in a heartbeat............no lines, no hassle, nada, just soda.
