Just checked my inbox... you’re not going to believe this, but there’s the da*m memo.

It reads, “It has been determined that some Porsche dealers can gauge clients’ eyeballs and yet the readers of Rennlist will hilariously thank them for it. Other dealers who charge $10k ADM will be crucified on the public forums. Do not point out the hypocrisy or you, too, will be targeted.”

Had I known the memo was there, I would have never posted my question. My apologies.

You're much more interesting when offering your legitimate input (on rare occasions) rather than trolling comments. This is a PTS 2011 4.0 RS.

Should it sell for same price as a 2011 C2S?

Why would that be a typo? Rare color on one of the most coveted 911s of all time. No, the orange doesn't change the drive experience, but people pay up for scarcity. This is scarcity on the right car.

Yeah, what does Road and Track know about pricing?
(Tongue firmly in cheek!)

I do not warm up to all PTS colors (trying to be polite here) but this is absolutely stunning to me,
like a reverse Grey/Orange color scheme of the LP700-4 which I never thought I would like, then ended up loving it!

Since when do sellers determine the market?....As everything else in this world it will sell at a price deemed fair by both parties....

I think the price premium also comes from the car's past ownership history, not just the paint.

I just noticed I misspelled the word “gouge.” Not sure how that happened...my sincere apologies.

It’s good entertainment to see some RL readers work through their cognitive dissonance. I’m thinking of forwarding this forum to both the Anthropology and Neurology department at Stanford. It would be a treasure trove of research for a guy like Robert Sapolsky. He actually did quite a lot of research on herd behavior, groupthink, religion and the Darwinistic reasons why people protect their clan.

On Rennlist, when some sellers maximize profit it’s criminal; when other sellers maximize profit they are defended. In the end, the marketplace will flush out the truth.

How long has it been for sale?

Look around pal, world thrives on herd mentality. Almost everyone is a part of some herd. One thing that keeps herds together is loyalty. And it’s hard to convince and get your word through a group with negativity.

That said, your posts are entertaining and usually put a smile on my face. ... as long as they are respectful.

It's somewhat ironic that you know who Robert Sapolsky is, his work on the neuronal damage created by the stress response dovetails with our research for medical device we are building. We are focused on reducing the inflammatory effects caused by chronic activation of the fight or flight response, a condition you seem afflicted by every time you post. Health is more important than letting strangers on an Internet forum know how unfair the world of Porsche pricing is. The constant scramble you create for yourself flares up your adrenal glands, blood sugars, even your TNF-alpha markers will get elevated if you keep it up. Go meditate or something, then we can read a little of Sapolsky's research together..

Drop the angst... stay healthy and enjoy the ride a little. If you need a laugh, I carry a little naked Trump bobble head doll in my pocket, i can mail it to you.. just don't post pictures of it.

And we forgive you for the misspelling, so you can breath there at least...
