So GTS Turbo with convertable-spyder GT3 body??
It wouldn't make sense to use the GT3 rear bumper. The GTS and standard 911's bumper have special cutouts for the intercoolers. I can't imaging the GT3 bumper as-is would offer the same air flow through the intercoolers.

I would agree. My "guess" is based on the exhaust shown in my post is missing GT3 exhaust solenoids.

I fully understand the sentiments re polluting the GT3 brand. First a GT3, then a touring, and now, maybe a convertible? I have spent much longer with BMW's before I had my first Porsche. I was then and still am now upset that they placed the M-badge on SUV's. Really, a 3 ton M-car? Frustrating!

BUT............. Holy mother of God if this thing if it is a GT3 canyon diver with a drop top, a NA motor, and a stick, it is to quote an old SNL, "You look Marvelous!!!!!!!!"

WOW WOW WOW

I believe the intent is to pay homage to the Carrera Speedster, a very limited offering 356 Speedster with the Furhman 4 cam engine, the GT car of its day, rather than merely “diluting” the GT brand. When the future is cloudy, the past offers clarity.

I don't know how many VIPs there are but If Porsche only builds 356 of them WW every single one would go to a VIP, becoming a de facto unobtanium car for mortals.

I'm not exactly sure what the point of that would be except pissing off an extraordinary number of people.

If it really is 356 cars there won't be a feeding frenzy cause as opposed to GT cars like the 2/3RS with an indeterminate number of builds, no one will even believe they have a chance at it ... heck if that's the real number don't even bother putting up a configurator.

That would indeed create insanity.
They put up the configurator for the 918 even after all were sold. People like us got on it and configured our 918s even though we knew we couldn't have one. It builds up the mystic of the brand.
