Is the GT3 better than a Ferrari F12?

Is the GT3 better than a Ferrari F12?
This might sound like a stupid question, but I was looking at the F12 market, and to my biggest surprise they are trading at very similar 991.2 GT3 money, so close that I started to wonder why would anyone pick a gt3 over an F12? ESPECIALLY if they don't intend to track regularly.
The f12 isn't new, but most still have years in the maintenance contract and warraties, 700 hp, they drive great and are fun, they provide an overload on senses, comfortable, practical, look great.
Is the F12 right now the best bargain on the market?

The F12 is the bargain of the century.... I looked at 2014s and 2015s with less than 10K miles and both could be had for similar money to the GT3. They even come with free 7 year maintenance place which makes them cheaper to maintain than a Corolla. In the US they tend to hold their values better, the F12s not Corollas, not as good as Corollas though .... Recently I decided to order a GT3 Touring, and I never thought I would because it didn't have rear seats for the kids and thought I would instead go for an F12 but whom am I kidding... I won't feel comfortable driving the F12 as much as I would driving the GT3T, even though it is actually more comfy to drive. I would also be scared to put the miles on it as for some reason most Ferrari owners are. So for a weekend toy and if you could pull it off, go for it. That V12 is one of the best engines ever built. Maybe in few years I would get the F12 as it is one of the most beautiful Ferraris out there, I prefer it over the 812.

So, I have an f12 that I'm currently selling, but not for gt3 money. You can get an older f12 for $240ish. They are a very good bang for your buck. Nothing like a na v12. They are 2 totally different cars. I already sold my 991.2 gt3, but they are very different. The one good thing with Ferrari's now is you can get warranties up to 15 years and with the 7 year maintenance, people shouldn't be as worried with older Ferrari's.

Not US, Europe. Plenty of of good cars between 150k-low200k. I love Porsche and I just came out of driving a touring this weekend, and from what I can remember of the f12, it was just much more fun at ALL SPEEDS. I really think you can drive slower on a mountain road with an f12 and come out more happier than in the same conditions with a gt3.
And grabbing both by the scruff of the neck, idk, f12 is scarier but it is controlable, the gt3 lets you play with safety, idk.
To be honest I think I would enjoy more the gt3 on my vacation home (winding roads as the only option with straighter roads at a 40 miles radius) and the f12 in the 'city' with some mountain road enjoyment.
Regardless for those thinking on spending 180k to 200k on a fun car please look at f12s.

I have owned several Ferraris including a 599. I own a 488 now. The F12 is a great car but IMO a GT car not a sports car. I drove one at COTA. I think it's hugely different than my GT3MT.

The way I see it is that the F12 prices will go down even more and most have similar specs but to get a GT3 with the specs you like is very hard and we might not get another chance to get a manual NA GT3 with Touring package. This is what made my mind.

Agreed. I recently picked up a 430 manual and seem to enjoy it more than my f12 at times.

The F12 is a great GT, the v12 front engine is just fantastic but the driving dynamics leave a lot to be desired on the track, just not designed for that. As a road car I really like the F12 and think for most is just a wonderful gt car. If you are track minded and are looking for more of a race car feel the GT3 is a better option and can handle most GT duties quite well, as well and having a ball at the track. I really like the more track oriented cars for the road, so the 458 was more my speed but again as a GT the F12 is hard to beat.

F12 is the better car without a doubt, NA V12, much better sound, true exotic. Just depends on your intended use and purpose. I would get one at $150k in a heart beat over a GT3, but they're not at that price here.

I’d always dreamed of a GT3, F12 (or FF) and a manual 08 Aston Martin Vaquish S
