All I'm going to say is I really appreciate both, both are works of art Too different to really compare vis-a-vis which one to pick IMO, hard to see a buyer torn between the two. I like 812 much more but of course F12 sweet spot right now due to depreciation whereas 812 just coming out

As the previous owner of 6 Ferrari and 7 Porsche automobiles, I assure you that you will end up paying MUCH more for the F12 than the GT3 when you take depreciation, maintenance and repairs into consideration. FYI, I still own 2 Porsche's and zero Ferrari's.

Completely different cars, borrowed an F12 for a few days and it was amazing. So much so that I ordered the 812. Personally, the new 991.2 4.0 in the GT3 has my heart, but with NA engines getting the axe, especially the V12 ones, the NA V12 from Ferrari is very special. Think the 812 may be the last NA V12 if supposed emission regulations are passed.

Either way 2 amazing, yet very different, cars...

Love the F12. Here in California the cheapest one I have ever seen is 239K and that was a really lightly optioned build. Most are 270 or so.

To the OP's question, "Which is better?" ... it depends on how you define that word: "better."

Both exceptional cars, but in different ways.

Which is better: Vivaldi or Pearl Jam?
I have both and could never chose between the two.
I have an F12 and adore it. That V12! Every time I drive it I am shocked by its blend of artistry and malicious power.
The GT3 is amazing in how it blends raw emotion and precision.
Driving the GT3 is exhilarating, exciting, somehow rewarding.
Driving the F12 is an "event."

If you could only get one, and a Doctor told you have 12 months to live?............the F12.

Two different cars.
one is a gt for fast highway runs.
and one for track and some fun on the street.

Last regular series NA V12 w/o electric assist.

Is the GT3 engine better? No...

Is everything else? Maybe.

Just my opinion but the F12 is one of the ugliest cars Ferrari has ever produced. I'm guessing that's the true reason why prices are in the gutter.

Yep, completely different cars. I'll take the GT3 all day long.

I don't think it's ugly, but it does look a bit like a Corvette.

F12 is different, but to me its much better different. My friend just picked up his 812, so we will take it to the track when the snow finally melts in a few weeks.

Harris video is a good summary of why you can't just get in the F12 once and enjoy it:

Massa video is a good cockpit view of track footage:

Really looking fwd to 812 vs F12 impressions. I've driven f12 tdf and found myself wondering "how much better/faster can this get?"... although I didn't like the rear steering which felt really odd and abrupt ( unlike in the gt3 where it's effective without feeling scary or unpredictable.). Anyway, 812 review please!!

My assessment of an F12 is overall positive but it's got downsides.

All of those whom bathed in the MSRP (350-400) pool have now given birth to a fantastically depreciated 700hp car for me or others in the low 200's (USA).

For similar prices (200-240):

F12
Huracan
16 RS low Miles high spec
18 GT3 high spec with ADM plus taxes
18 Turbo S
458 Spider
650 S Spider

F12 is only V12. Only hatch/trunk for real luggage. Heaviest. Best interior. 2nd most sneered at (lambos always get the sneers)

My dream garage right now would be

G550 4x4 for smashing curbs and Prius
F12 in fun color for dates and road trips and sexy noises
Beater GT3RS for track days
911 R for canyon runs
Etc
