Yup that's what I'm looking into. Seems like 5-6 locations in NYC. I saw one near Baruch college and thought it was pretty interesting.
Do you have first hands experience with their system? Price seemed comparable to NYC valet park.

I drive into NYC from NJ several times a week as a requirement for my business and it’s a nightmare depending on what time you plan on going in. The typical dinner / theatre traveler goes in between 4 and 5 PM which coincides with rush hour - you could be looking at an hour of bumper to bumper traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel alone and trust me nobody is going to give you an inch or care about P Car.

The parking garages you mentioned are nowhere near the theatre district. The Baruch College location is way on the east side and crossing town to the east side is brutal, after you park your car you’d have to fight crosstown traffic in a cab or Uber
to get back to the theatre district or have a walk of about 1.5 miles. The Baxter St location would put you even further away.

Also, the after theatre traffic can be pretty brutal as well.

When I need to travel into NYC for fun outings i take my daily driver to Secaucus Junction train station and head to Penn Station. The train ride is 15 to 19 minutes and pretty stress free. IIRC the cost of the train tickets for 2 people is far less than the cost of the $15 Lincoln Tunnel toll but the biggest benefit to me is there’s little to no traffic and I don’t have to worry about Porsche getting damaged.

I live in California now, but I was a NJ resident for over 30 years. Drove into NYC countless times, but once I was able to own a nicer vehicle I would never drive in unless it was early mornings (as others have said). I would recommend driving into Hoboken and parking in a garage on your own. Then hopping on the Path. It used to be $1.50 back in the day, but I think it is a little more now. Small price to pay to not have to drive your nice car in.

I worry about where I'm going to park the Pcar in little ol' downtown Woodstock, GA and tend to either take another car or only go to the only spot with safe valet. Can't imagine NYC. LOL

I have lived in the NYC area for 46+ years and I would NEVER take my GT3 (or even my M cars) into Manhattan. Keep a beater or take a cab. Forgot about parking, the roads are terrible and the possibility of damage is high.

FYI, Jerry Seinfeld drives a new Panamera to pick up his kids from school in Manhattan. Considering that a billionaire drives such a relatively cheap car, it shows you what Manhattan's road conditions are like.

4 years ago with my BMW, I got into a contest with a gentlemen over a parking spot. I had the position and took the spot. We had a healthy NYC conversation and that was that. So I thought, came back to my car 3 hours later and all four of my tires were punctured on the sidewalls. This was arguably one of the best areas of town on 70th between 5th and Park. That little foray cost me a small fortune. Never would I bring a GT3 into that cesspool.

I used the automated parking garage near Baruch College once in my 997.2 turbo S. It was pretty interesting to watch, everything was automated but I had a nice experience and there wasn't a ding on the car (I checked with OCD style scrutiny). The system is pretty good at directing you to park the car with enough clearance. Good luck, however YMMV...

Haha I've parked in that automated garage in the OP (but with my C63) a few years ago. Pretty cool to see what happens behind the scenes. And I echo what everyone else says that driving the car in the city is absolutely terrible. I've done it a few times in the early mornings but unless you've memorized where every major pothole is I definitely would not do it.

Keeping It in uptown is not so bad. Tangling with anything south of that park; forget it.

By uptown, do you mean Central Harlem?

Anyways, any of you guys have a lead on buying parking spot in NYC? I don't know where to start.
