Chris, i'm on the same boat - however for me personally didn't get an "experience" of giggles that made me feel like a 5 year old who just walked into toys-r-us.
That said, i do like the car a lot !

They are so capable all around that they eventually get too easy to drive and I sell them, while I keep the older stuff cause it semi-punishes you time after time. Hopefully the 991.2 gt3 and/or RS change that trend for me.
i drove 991R and 991.2GT3. nice but no RS4.0
jeremy, i have never kept a car longer than 13 months, except the 4.0 and the other keeper is the one i just got ;-)
if i still have 991.2GT3 around 9/2o19 then it would be really good. but the current plant is 12 months.

Yep, ditto. I love churning thru the new stuff. And every time I get behind the wheel of something new, I tell all my friend "THIS IS IT! Porsche nailed it and I'm gonna keep this one; i could see myself selling everything and just holding on the new xxxxxx". Then 3 mos later I slowly stop reaching for the keys and by 6mos it's gone. Including the most recent 981 spyder. I went on and on and on about it being the modern drivers car. It's going up for sale soon. I hope my 991.2 3rs breaks the pattern. Although it's equally fun to churn the latest and greatest.

Jon, you know/have the stuff I also could never part with. Probably good there are only so many cars that fit that description

*In before Waxer comes to defend the 991.1 RS.

Awesome, thanks for the insight! Really loving my 6spd 991.2. I only have 1 track day in it, but I would agree with your sentiments on the chassis.

The countryside of Puglia must be wonderful to drive!
First week of May is the Targa Florio tribute, perhaps take a ferry ride to drive it?

ROFL. Can vouch for having heard/seen the above! And agree and holding on the 997 advice from JT but hoping the 991.2 manual is a keeper so I can stop the car purchase addiction....can’t wait for 5/25!

Wow very high praise. Making me more anxious to get mine

OP,

I completely agree with you. I have had mine for three weeks now. I would add: Car feels much smaller than my .1 RS (body sense, height), engine actually sounds rougher than RS, decibel level of engine noise in cockpit is higher than RS (even at 5000 RPM), the combination of manual gearbox+powershift+stiffer suspension+more responsive steering (compared to .1 RS)+much more lower end grunt makes the .2 GT3 an absolute winner. Hands down THE BEST PORSCHE I HAVE EVER OWNED. The RS almost seems softer and more docile. Disclaimer: I have 5400 miles on .1 RS (it is properly broken in) and the Michelin Cup 2's on the RS are not the same as those on .2 GT3.

Enjoy in good health.

Weird. Because to me, the .2 GT3 set to stiff suspension mode feels softer than the .1 RS in soft mode. But I only drove each one for a few hours and it wasn't back to back so who knows.

Yes sir! I drive them back to back almost every day. GT3 DD to work and back. GT3RS from home to gym and back.
