991.2 GT3 and 991.2 GT3 RS allocation
First world problem...
I have an allocation and placed an order for a PTS 991.2 GT3 with a manual trans, ETA is July 2018. I received a call yesterday from my dealer asking if I wanted to take their sole allocation for a 991.2 GT3 RS (eta 2019). Of course, I said yes. I know that the RS is....an RS, but I am so old school and really only want manual transmission sports cars. I don't track very often and paddles on the road are just boring for me. So, I am thinking that I will pass on the 991.2 RS and look for a 997.2 GT3 RS (manual trans only).
Anyone know the anticipated production for the RS? Will it be 2019 or only 2018 production? Thoughts on 997.2 RS vs 991.2 RS long term value?
Thanks in advance.

I wish I had your problem.
.2 3RS will most likely be 2018~2019 production just like .2 GT3 was 2017~2018.
It's a really hard question. 991.1 it is no brainer RS, but you got PTS and MT on your GT3...
Get both

Thanks for the replies. I plan on keeping the manual trans 991.2 GT3.
I guess I will rephrase the question: For me the 997.2 RS > than 991.2 RS. Is there any reason to think that the 991.2 RS is such a high watermark vehicle that its a must have for a car collection (e.g. last n/a, ultra low production, etc.)? I'm sure its all a guess, but I wanted to see if there was some reasonable insight from the RL members.

Nah, I had em all.
its just like the .1 991RS but with warranty and maybe some small refinement, but increased performance comes mostly from tires and suspension.
For a is just as good as a .2 Lizard. Kinda like the .1997RS pumpkin or green.

997.2 RS are very special cars. I don't see how you go wrong with either.

Thank you to all that PM'd me and replied. I decided to keep my .2GT3 in PTS allocation, cancel my 991.2 RS allocation and post a WTB ad for a 997.2 RS.

Three Wheelin'
991.2 GT3 manual AND 991.2 GT3 RS are the best of both worlds. I would skip the 997.2 RS and have one manual 991.2 GT3 and one pdk 991.2 RS. If I could only pick one car it would be the PTS 991.2 GT3 MT.

Second this. I wouldn't even bother with 997.2 RS. Keep PTS MT and if you have the means, get RS.
