Talking GT3 RS Allocation Confirmed – My First GT3!

Can’t help but share my excitement with you folks. I just submitted a build for a GT3RS this morning and have a commission #!

While I thought I had positioned myself well with my dealer to get a .2 GT3 allocation at MSRP, I missed the boat and came up dry. Was really bummed about it as I had tried to do everything I could to put myself in a prime position over the past 3 years, so I put a little more pressure (read: politely nagging every few weeks) on my local dealer to hook me up with an RS, and they came through big time. Got an email yesterday that they had a build for me, so I took the morning off to go in this morning to place my order. If I was able to get one, there's hope for others!

My build: while I wouldn’t call this a poverty spec, it might be by Rennlist standards. I had to stick with the must haves to keep this within my mental price limit (so no PCCB’s, though I did splurge on the LED’s since I love the look of the black headlights).

Color is the big debate for me. Love the white (first choice), GT Silver looks really elegant and premium, and black does a great job of mellowing out the insanely extroverted bodywork to make it a little more stealth. PTS is a no brainer if it becomes available. Don't want anything too conspicuous though, as I'd like to be able to drive this without raising too many eyebrows.

build suggestions are welcome!

Plan to tear up the streets and drive this thing everywhere I can. Will prob put 3-4k miles a year on it. I’m psyched!

Congrats. Are they asking you to pay over sticker for it?

Very nice! Congrats! I am in a similar boat and will supposedly find out today whether or not my dealer will come through with an allocation. I like the build and am planning something fairly similar if I'm lucky enough to score an allocation. Enjoy!

Congrats! I’d skip the Light design package, I had it on my .1 and I’m thinking not to get it on my .2.
If you’re undecided between white and silver I’d suggest to go see the colors in person they’re both amazing

Congrats, nice clean spec, very similar to my (first of many) iterations.

Congrats!
very far from poverty spec. Yours is downright bloated compared to my build haha!
Its gonna look awesome, all three colors are an excellent choice. Light design seems to be unpopular around these parts though.

Congrats, although I will disagree with you on color. The RS begs for a conspicuous color.
It's not exactly a subtle car.

yeah, I'm prob gonna bag the light design package. I never would have ticked that box, but it came on the GT4 I ended up with, and I do find myself noticing the lights and night, and I like it. small $ too.

thanks - prob will bag the light design. that and the LED's are the most likely options to be cut.

no disagreement between us on that. the RS really does look best in an aggressive color - we can agree on that. however, there's a part of me that feels if it's too conspicuous, I'll be less likely to drive it places to avoid the attention. while I'll never blend in with any color, black is one that could be more discreet if I went wingless.

every color looks good, but I'm prob most likely to stick with white unless I get PTS
