Default 991.2 GT3 BMC Panel Filters

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone might be able to confirm as I stumbled across a picture of a 991.2 GT3 with the BMC panel filters installed.

My question is whether the part number is the same for the 991.1 GT3/RS as for the 991.2 as official website and stockist don't seem to know.

Anyone 100% on this?

Appreciate any help and assistance.

Cheers!

Pic for reference:

Good question. I can't believe that I didn't at least pull the box off of my stock filters and check their condition while I had the bumper off last month. I'd love to know the part number and seller for these as well as for replacement originals. I will search around a bit and return to this thread to edit with the info if I find it.

Stock air filters for the 991.1 and 991.2 GT3's are the same part number. RS has different Porsche part numbers since they come with the OEM version of the BMC's.

I bought the one meant for a .1 GT3 and it fits perfectly.

What's so special about these filters compared to the stock ones? I mean, it's not like throwing a K&N-type of filter on these cars does anything, right?

Difference will be unnoticeable- they look good until you put cover back on though

Any noticeable difference in intake sound? I loved those on the GT4, just because they made it sound even a little more meaner ;-)

Paper filters for me... not a fan of these K&N-style oiled filters.

I've heard good things about the BMC filters and Porsche uses them on the GT3 RS. That must mean something. A lot of people are concerned about having to clean and reoil them, but why not just buy new ones? They are $165 dollars. Consider it once a year maintenance. Keep your car breathing clean. I plan on installing the filters when I do my exhaust.
