Default Called a dealership where I left a deposit for .2 GT3

I called one of the two dealerships where I left my deposit for .2 GT3 to get my deposit back

and I asked what number I was (out of curiosity) and was told number 20

I thought I was number 7 when I placed deposit 2 years ago

How does my number go up instead of down?

Asked SA what's my chance of getting a car and he said if I pay 30k, he may be able to get me one

I politely asked for my interest-free deposit of 5k back.

After getting my GT car, I don't think I will be playing P-Car game again.

I had my allocation for last RS sold from under me when an out of towner offered $50k over, I was given the honor to match it if I wanted to keep my spot. Needless to say passed and never bought another car them . Agree that it’s getting silly with these cars.

What is funny ...since a dealer where had the deposit couldn't get car .
now last week don't know how I got the email but assume that when I emailed and called
a few dealers within 100 miles from me to find a Car they saved my email.
so now I have a dealer offering me a allocation I went to see them yesterday because
I didn't believe but they showed me the screen shot I guess they have from Porsche there allocations
and showed two gt3 for October and December.
but I have to pay 20 k. To join the club.

Yup you can always pay to play ..................I will play it out and wait. Last go I got my 991 GT3 dealer called me and I never bought a car from him and he offered me MSRP. Also they don’t deposits or list .........we have a common friend, and it worked out. So will see how it lands

Did they sell it before you even entered your order into the systems? Or had your build locked yet?

if you get at msrp it's great .....your friend might be a good customer to this dealership.
which will be a plus for you.

Go back with a $15k check (ADM/deposit), and I’m sure you’ll get there car. Honestly, that’s not bad for a configurable allocation at this point. You can always make another $15k but will probably not get an msrp allocation. It sucks, but it is what it is. A bird in hand and all that. As far a bonus allocations goes, the average for NA will be no more than one per dealer (some will get more if others don’t get any, but the volume is already set). Very unlikely that dealers known to sell for ADM will call you with their last bonus allocation to sell it for msrp... Plus, aren’t those deposits refundable until you take delivery? If something else does pop ups at msrp, you can just get it back and switch.

What pisses me off is why bother taking deposit if you are not gonna honor the list.

Might as well play ADM game upfront than playing good guy dealer game.

My deposit has been riding with the same dealer since 2008.
No allocation.

it’s free money and that will also make you feel if you need to buy another Porsche you’ll buy there where you have already a deposit ...

The guy also told me that if I buy Panny Turbo, he will "move me up the list" (NOT EVEN PROMISE OF A CAR)

Yeah that's very common but usually it guarantees the car
