Default Black Porsche 991.2 GT3 BBi Center Section Exhaust Install

Attachment 1344394

Black Porsche 991.2 GT3 BBi Center Section Exhaust Install

We installed our BBi StreetCup Center Section Exhaust on their client's newly delivered Black 2018 Porsche 991.2 GT3 to give it a more aggressive sound and reduce weight. Made in the USA, the exhaust is TIG welded out of brushed T304 stainless steel and features the main pipes merging in the middle to function as an x-pipe. By retaining stock side mufflers and valves, the factory "sport button" feature is kept to conveniently switch back and forth between the aggressive "sport" mode during spirited driving sessions and the quieter, more civil "non-sport" mode for minimal noise on the highway. Here are some pictures that we would like to share.

BBi Autosport Porsche 991 GT3 / GT3RS StreetCup Center Section Exhaust

Key Features
  • Delivers deep aggressive exhaust sound
  • Significant weight reduction
  • Retains Sport Exhaust Button function
  • TIG welded T304 brushed stainless steel construction
  • Factory primarly side mufflers & catalytic converters are all retained
  • Direct bolt on replacement
  • Specific fitments for 991.1 & 991.2 models to accomodate new bumper
  • 50 State 100% emissions legal
  • Will not void warranty
  • Optional black ceramic coat finish available
  • Made in USA

Hi Guys,

do you still offer the side muffler deletes?

What are the pros and cons of the side and center deletes?

Thanks

How does this BBi center section differ (or not) from the GRP/BBi center section? Are they identical but sold under two different brandings? Thanks.

Mech33,

Great question. They are identical coming off the same production line and shipped out of the same place. It is co branded collaboration effort with Graham Rahal Performance. Some get the BBi logo and some get the GRP logo =)

Yes, we still offer both the side and center muffler bypasses. The side mufflers reduces more weight and delivers a Cup Car like sound but it disables the valve function so it can be too loud for some. With that said, the center section bypass is the most popular choice.

Is this the .1 version or the .2 version with longer tips. It should be the .1 version, which corroborates what GR stated, that putting the .1 version on a .2 GT3 results in the tips being flush with the bumper, almost identical to the stock .2 GT3.

Does this version result in the tips ending up in the same location vis a vis the bumper as the stock center exhaust.

Hi,

Do you happen to have a video clip with sound of both the BBI center muffler and side muffler delete on a .2?

Thanks.

Would also like to know which version this is as I want my incoming GT3 to look stock when I add this center exhaust

The difference is small but this particular car got the .1 system installed for a flusher look. We will post comparison pictures shortly. Also, we have plenty of video clips of the 991.2 center section exhaust in action.
