Default 991.2 GT3 MT6L CLUTCH TOO LIGHT?

991.2 GT3 MT6 CLUTCH TOO LIGHT?
For those that received their Manual Transmission 991.2 GT3 , have you found the clutch action too light?
All opinions appreciated, thank you for your response

I'm coming from a GT4 / 997.2 GT3 camp and enjoy both their action

I echo your clutch comment, it feels far too light, to the point of being hard to modulate when starting off. Didn’t mind it at higher speeds, but launching smoothly feels weird.

I'd say give the gearbox some time to settle in.

Yes it is light. I also complained in the beginning

Give it about 200 miles and you will love with how it works with the engine

After driving it all over Europe in all kinds of conditions including city driving, I find it to be perfect. I think steering can be too light (Ferrari).. but why have more clutch effort if you don't need it? It works, it doesn't tire you out, it is precise.. you don't think about it, which to me is a sign of a perfectly engineered part.

I also have a GT4, and the day I took delivery of the GT3, embarrassly stalled it driving out of the showroom..lol. Reason, a much lighter clutch cp to the GT4 so I drop the clutch too quickly expecting there be more weight to resist but there isnt. Now that I have gotten used to it, I like it because it makes driving in traffic much easier work on the left leg...altho I find the pt of engagement is also narrow compared to the gt4, another reason it was easier to stall when not used to the clutch weight....

Just picked up my 991.2 GT3 two days ago and only have about 150 miles on it, but I have no complaints with the clutch. It's definitely lighter than a 997 GT3, but you adjust pretty quickly. And the amount of pedal travel is good; not so little that it feels on/off like a race clutch, not so much that you feel like your left leg is covering huge distances while you drive .

No problem with it and I find it better than the 997 GT3 and GT4 both too heavy.

Funny to read comments because I stalled too first time out in 1st gear. Now 900 miles in I am fairly well adjusted to the feel. I still struggle in starting quickly from dead stop in 1st gear. But I like the feel otherwise. Definitely much different then previous Porsches.

Easy to stalk because of a light flywheel effect... very racecar-y. Love it!! But doesn't relate to clutch pedal effort.. could happen with heavier clutch too.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who stalled on the first day! lol

I totally understand comments saying it’s light, I expected it to be heavier however it is very manageable in all types of driving conditions so I have no complaints.

Me too. All my Porsche friends when I told them were giving me a hard time. Telling me maybe I should have ordered the P.D.K.. LOL. Wait till the weather warms and I give them a chance to drive the car. Will post all the excuses they come up with, and they will come up with excuses.

I have no problems with it being too light; and I owned a 997.2 which I loved too...

"A Manual GT3 is a Manual GT3".

Was 60 degrees here in Chicago and took her out for a couple hours. What a car!! She now has over 600 miles and has really loosened up quite nicely

I know break-in mileage is serious delayed gratification but I gotta ask if you're projecting these engine "feelings" - LOL
I know, I know - first miles are nothing to joke about...

Congratulations on a great ride
