Yeah I feel terrible for the owner, can't believe this happened while on the lot at the dealership
A lot of people joking around here (as it is kind of unbelievable really) but if this was your car you would not be happy...

Doubtful.....not sure of exact statistics but a stolen car most often ends up gone or totaled....Anyone stealing these high end vehicles aren't doing so for a joy ride.....they're gone and on a shipping container fairly quickly....a professional knows what to do so the car can't be located.....they likely cased the dealer and knew exactly where the keys were.....

I wonder whose insurance pays for the stolen car? I would imagine the dealership's as the new owner likely had not gotten the car yet. I would imagine there will be some changes in store at Porsche dealerships nationwide to prevent this from happening again. I would also imagine that Porsche will be building another car for the unfortunate buyer.

It does help the insurance rates, but the comprehensive coverage is not what makes the rates high for these cars. My Wawanesa insurance yearly rate is $1350, out of which only $290 is for the comprehensive coverage with $100 deductible. Collision coverage is what makes rates higher in general.
