Wow - interesting, I am happy my car has been built and just sitting somewhere since January with my ED date coming up on April 3. Tickets/hotels everything already booked and I don't think mine were changeable/cancelable without incurring a good chunk in fees/potential fare difference.

Well that's a bummer, but not the end of the world. First world problems.

By contrast, my estimated delivery date has been changed from early June to late May.

hmm yeah. I’m in the same boat. Est. Delivery mid November 2018. I guess that mean September build? If we have a real allocation (v200) is there any chance they decide not to build the car?

also can anyone explain to me how/why porsche makes the decision to produce the .2 GT3 for MY2018 only? The .1 GT3 was produced in MYs 2014-2016. I believe that the 997.1 and 997.2 GT3s were each produced for two years (the 997.2 car being a 2010 and 2011 MY).

My touring car got delivered more than month early. In addition to that, my salesman has mentioned normal 911's are getting delayed, and hard to spec, due to the factory concentration on gt3 builds. Not sure who to believe anymore

as ex strategy consultant i find it absolutely fascinating that a billion dollar business cannot figure out prouduction timing, capacity etc etc... they are not projecting 20 years out. it's just 12 months....

I don't believe for a minute the PAG does not know its capacity or production limits. If this is really happening, it must be a third party parts supply problem.

That can't be. All the auto company's and suppliers are all QS and ISO certified and all have gone to JIT deliveries. What could possibly have gone wrong with that in place.

That really stinks!

My car that was built in February took two additional weeks to finish build and has been on a ship since 03/02/18 and should be in Port Houston on 03/30/18. This is two weeks behind scheduled arrival.
