600HP possible out of the 4.0 GT3/RS engine, who is the first to unleash it?

i know in detail what it mean to bring a 2.0l 4banger to 300hp.
C20XE
Ford Duratec
etc.
it is possible to reach 150hp / l
but i would not want it on a car as the 991 RS or GT3 is.
thats race car stuff to reach it.
each 30h a rebuilt for 50k$
cold start issue
no good drivablity below 4.000rpm
about emmission or road legal i will not start to speak
the more i think about it - the more a masterpice is the current 4.0l engine already.

"Unlock" is the wrong term here. Making 600HP out of the stock motor is possible but many changes have to be made to the motor. This isn't a simple upgrade. For starters, 600HP would only be possible on race gas. The RS 4.0 motor is pretty high strung at 520HP and beyond that you are looking at cams and even more compression among other things.

The 600hp for the new 4.0 is a ballpark "seen on the bench'". Nobody knows on which conditions.
I read somewhere, that the GT3 R motor is able to reach about 590hp without restrictor. Whats different to the motor in the .1 RS? Different intake without flaps, different cams, race exhaust and ecu I guess? And the higher readline, so maybe 590hp @ 9400 rpm

Bespoke intake with runners the size of tunnels. Individual throttle bodies on each runner. Solid lifters, Ti hardware, bespoke extreme lift cams. Bespoke ultralight 2 ring pistons, rods, crank. Completely new water cooling system, lightweight alternator and ancillaries. Equal length incomes headers, full exhaust. Motorsports ECU. In other words nearly nothing was shared, the engine would barely idle at 3k and was designed for 30 hours between rebuilds.
The Cup is more like what you describe above, but the true race engines are different animals.
