We're just trying to squeeze in as many March deals as possible before Libor increase hoses all the April lease rates (it's coming- grab a raincoat).

For me with 5 brands to placate the end of a quarter is full on:

dinner on fire/baby crying/ phone ringing/ sink flooding wild scenario.

Our local 918 VIP passed on the 3RS ("it looks the same as the 2016") because it's not exotic to him and he literally drives his 918 daily...
There you go, my words fulfilled in real life example!

Congrats Soulsea...glad to hear more people are getting their's at MSRP.

Chaosoul, your posts accurately describe what occurring at the dealer level regarding allocations and the 918 program.

going to disagree. 98% of the public doesn’t know what a gt3,gt3rs,gt2rs is.

I agree. You might have added that 98% of the public cannot afford to buy a Porsche. But Porsche enthusiasts know the difference. Once you get into buying a Porsche you quickly learn about the separation of the models.

+1 I don't really think there is much of a halo effect of the GT models for the typical Macan/Cayenne buying Porsche customer.

My wife is the typical P-car customer, she thinks I'm insane for buying the same car in various colors each year.

I pretraded my PTS RS last fall in order to get a 2018 GT3 at MSRP and am now pretrading the incoming GT3 (not even taking delivery) at a small hit to get a 2019 RS at MSRP. I bought another 2016 RS recently (got a great deal from a private seller). It may sound crazy but I couldn't be happier. The plan all along was to trade the .2 GT3 in order to help get a .2RS. There are pretty decent deals around on 2016 RS's, which in my opinion are more desirable than a .2 GT3. Having said that, I would still like a manual .2 GT3, hopefully prices come down some in the next year or two.

The ADM's I was quoted for the new RS were insanely high, even with a delivery mile 2018 GT3 pretrade option. One dealer required a $50,000 deposit in addition to the pretrade.

Are you going to swap the 16 RS for a .2 GT3 MT when your '19 RS comes in? That'd be a great combo.

Thats a good succession plan. If you want manual, the new GT3 is the only choice. If you like PDK, the RS is still the king, even at equivalent lap times to the 3.2.

Anyone here anything different than February 2019 availability on the mag wheels? Probably going with standard wheel but still contemplating to add mag wheels to my build for now to delay and hold out for pts if it ever becomes available... while having a commission number in hand the whole time. Anyone have a commission number with mag wheels?
