I wonder if the production #s for 991.2 GT is going to be GT3 > GT3RS > GT2RS, or if memory serves correctly for the 991.1 I think there were more GT3RS than GT3

can't see them pumping many .3RS. Look at all the .2 GT3's push out, Including mine. I was suppose to get my car April and now Sep 2018.

I respectfully disagree. However, as soon as he calls his regional manager for clarification, I'm sure he'll take the same position.
Every Porsche model of a particular model year crosses the calendar year. Every single model.
Why would there be shenanigans because production crossed from December into January on this particular one? It does EVERY year.

I am confused.
As far as I remember, .2 GT3 allocation process was like this
1) Few allocations for early CY 2017 given in March 2017
2) Remaining allocations for the rest of CY 2017 + all of 2018 given in around Oct 2017
Will the process be the same for .2 3RS? or are you guys saying that all .2 3RS allocation will be given out for CY2018/2019 this week.

Was at dealer yesterday. They were told Friday afternoon that allocations for RS would be coming by end of day this past Friday. Nothing came through so they are expecting Monday as the day. Obvi this could change too but fingers crossed it is Monday for all US dealers. Really curious if any NON-VIP (918 owners) allocations will have a build date that is prior to the factory shutting down or after. I think most VIP cars are being built in July for Sept delivery. That would not leave much time if any so thinking non-VIP allocations will have build dates starting in Sept/Oct. Is this what you guys are thinking and/or hearing?

Non VIP here who will be calling my SA to inquire...

I am puzzled. They are producing the RS now but will stop for three months? Why bother to launch the car given their focus is on the 992 and apparently limited allocations thereafter? It seems to me to be a marketing strategy that will **** off a lot of Porsche enthusiasts.

Its all to do with 992 cutover plus the adoption particulate filter. The short run Batch 1 cars will not have a particulate filter. All Batch 2 cars will.

The GT3RS definitely will be built in July, August and September, all the way through the early months of 2019 for US production. And yes, there are non-VIP allocations in those early months albeit not very many. Not trying to be confrontational... just giving you guys facts.
