The car is fantastic. So is the 997RS. But without that limited edition number on the dash it will never be worth more than the 997 GT2RS.
I would buy one at MSRP but I would assume depreciation pretty soon.

i meant none directly for sale in China by Porsche which would leave more available for NA. At launch this was the case. That may have changed at some point because now the 2RS shows up on their configurator.

IMO do that and you'll understand how special of a car the 2RS is. You will immediately feel/sense that it's no ordinary car and Porsche probably threw everything at the car including the kitchen sink to make it as close to the pinnacle of cars on the market today as possible... Can only imagine it gets only even better when you are a passenger or driver in the car

It's *the* widowmaker... and this version set the Ring production car record.. Legend
i agree with your sentiment and I do agree it’s worth $300-350k which is why I’d pay sticker. But for $500-600k, it just seems to go off the scale for a 700hp 911 running a PDK and a modded Turbo S engine.

But, I do get it owning the hottest production 911 ever made and if I had money to burn and wanted to be the first on my street with one, I guess that is what is driving the price up. There are a lot of people like that out there.

I agree mostly but not necessarily, there are some low production Porsche worth a fortune today like the 996.2GT2 and it doesn't have a badge. I sold mine and will probably pay for my next RS toy.

Only for the next ten minutes or so until Porsche comes up with some other clickbait unobtainium.

Yes. More allocations came out a few weeks ago. Dealer wants $125k over. I said no way b/c PDK.

The car lost its Nurburgring production car crown after owning it for less than a year.
So, it's now worth it at sticker. Barely.

I predict used one will be selling for around MSRP by the end of next year.

Did that happen with the 2011 GT2 RS? I don’t remember.
