Default DME/launch control report..

I know you can check engine over revs and things like that with the DME reports, (which I know really doesn't happen with PDK cars) , but what about a launch control number? Is there anyway to read how many times it has been hard launched or maybe see how many times it was activated?

There's no launch control count, this is not a GTR

Launch as many times as you like, it's not going to break the engine.

The owners manual states that # of launches is stored so there has to be a way to access it

Sounds like there might be a way?... Looking for a 991.1 GT3 and would like to know if the previous owner did 1,000 launches per day and none.. lol..

See the video below - 50 consecutive launches in a .1 Turbo. Not a GT3 but proves that a Porsche can take more than a few launches without flinching.

Not sure I would worry too much about the number of launches if everyting else checks out with the car. First, I doubt the previous owner did enough ofthem to cause any issues. Second, the warranty extension for the .1 GT3 more than covers you if he did.

Most anything can be accessed with the factory computer. With a PIWIS II, you can even access things like how many times the convertible top was raised and lowered. It's all in there.

But i would absolutely not sweat it.

DME will still show over-rev on PDK cars, but only showing stage one which means the computer cuts in when it reaches redline.
