Good question. The last performance car I had before my GT3 was a 1979 Trans Am. That was probably 20 years ago. Since then i have had mostly luxury cars, with my last one being a 2010 Lexus LS 460, with a 1996 LS 400 being before that. The reason why this is relevant is that i made the jump from a car with relatively low performance, to just about the top of the Porsche offering in one step. I went from a 3 in performance, to about an 8. No matter where i go from here, comparatively speaking, it will never be that huge of a step again. Even if i got an 997 RS 4.0 (my ideal Porsche) I would still be making comparisons to my 991 GT3, so incrementally maybe i went from an 8 to a 9. I guess what i am saying is the incremenal enjoyment i could get by spending tons more money would never equal the initial benefit I have had from my GT3.

Ignorance is bliss. Besides, i really enjoy my car and don’t believe anything else would so far exceed it to justify the cost. I don’t need the latest and greatest. I don't care to spend months (years) waiting for the next great thing. I prefer to drive it and just enjoy the journey. If i ever do get another toy, it will be a completely different experience, like a 1970 Chevelle SS 454, 1969 Camaro Z/28, or even a dedicated track car.

The high-end Porsche sports car box has been officially checked.

Rob,
Good logic. The older muscle cars are definitely a different experience, but it’s so hard to better the GT3.

Yeah, agree Carmen. Good luck trying to best the GT3. Not happening. As sports cars go, that category is dead to me. I have the example i want. But a full **** older muscle car used mostly for the drags could be fun. Or maybe a BAC Mono or a Radical! I would want to try not to overlap experiences, though. Would a BAC Mono or Radical make me appreciate my GT3 less? I seriously doubt a Chevelle SS would.

Not sure i have time for many more toys, though!

Been following the thread. We are going to try and catch up to you a little. Heading out today for our 3,000 mile Spring Break road trip. Love that we are driving these cars, they sure are fun and way better than making them garage queens or C&C cars. Cheers.

Took a drive to Colorado Springs yesterday for Easter. Sorry, very few photos. We ate at a place called Rudy’s, which serves pretty good BBQ. Worked it off driving through the twisties on the way home.
