Rob, Late to answer but my impression of the Cup 2's vs. MPS4S is the Cup 2's have better dry grip with a stiffer sidewall. Definitely a better track tire. The MPS4S wins in the wet. The sidewall is softer and offers a a little more compliant/quieter ride. The MPS4S also takes a while to warm up on the track. I think I'll stick with the RE71R's for the dry and or track. I've done the Spring Smokies GT event and another recent trip to the Smokies on the RE71R's. Nice tire in the dry with great grip and they let you know when you are getting close to the limit. I have not run them in the wet.
Managed to turn 21000 miles on the way home from the Smokies. I need to peddle more to catch you.

Thanks for the info, Alan. I may give the RE71R’s a go next time. Curious to hear how they do in the wet. You are getting up there in the miles. Not bad! I have been super busy with work, and we have had a lot of rain, so you are slowly reeling me in.

About 1/3 through the process. Lightly compounding the entire car. The driver’s side looks sweet.

I wasn't aware that Bridgestone made RE71R's in 991 GT3 OEM sizes. Are you running a different wheel/tire size combo? I'll have to look into this as a track tire as they wear nicely to the cords and don't 'heat cycle out' nearly as quickly as the Cup 2s. Paint correction coming along nicely...!

Looks good rob!

A bit OT- how do you like your garage flooring? Would you suggest the tiles over an epoxy?

These are Cup 2's (N1).

Thanks Tyler! Flooring is good. All the little crap that comes in from the winter falls below so it keeps it clean. A bit hard on bare feet, but I would not hesitate to recommend this stuff.
