Currently at 27,500 Alan! You haven’t closed the gap just yet, but keep it up! The car came with Dunlops, which lasted 12,500 miles. They were shot when i changed them. The Cup 2’s lasted 15,000 miles but performance was gone about 500 miles ago. Still have tread on the current set though. This new set of Cup 2’s go on early next week. So just completed my second set, with a couple of track days on each.

How is your tire usage going?

I really debated the MPS4’s but was concerned i would lose the extra 5% of performance that these Cup 2’s provide. I know where the limits are on these tires, and stepping back on performance was something i really didn’t want to try. I can feel the difference between the Dunlops and Cup 2’s, so just didn’t want to reduce performance any. But i debated it a lot.

Have you tried the MPS4’s?

Btw, the UPS guy wheels the rear tire off the truck and has this big grin on his face. I must admit these are wide *** tires. Hot wheels!

Rob, I pulled the stock Cups at 2000 miles and put on a set of MPS4S. Ran those for 12000 miles, still plenty of life left, and switched to RE71Rs when I put a set of Forgeline CF205s on. I really like the RE71Rs. I'm keeping the MPS4S for insurance on a rainy Smokies event.

Interesting tire choice, Alan. I will have to read up on those RE71Rs. How much difference did you notice between the Cup 2’s and MPS4S?

Getting new rubber on the girl yesterday. Got 15,000 miles out of the last set of Cup 2’s vs 12,000 out of the Dunlops.
