Miscommunication surrounding 991.2 GT3 RS Deposit
So I placed a deposit with these guys over 2 years ago for a 991.2 GT3 RS. I opened my mail today and saw a refund check from them for my deposit!!! I never asked to be refunded. They wait till the car is almost announced and then decide to "refund" my deposit. I sent the SA an email. Haven't got a response yet but I think it's pretty obvious what's happening here

Hey, at least you got your deposit easily without having to fight or dig up a bunch of old paperwork!

Would you rather them keep your deposit and you not get the car??

You could have been say #6 on a list and may have just found out were going to get only 3 cars.... I would inquire via email to get the whole story but I suspect it is a # of allocations issue.

How is PM a stealer if they RETURNED your deposit? A deposit isn’t a GUARANTEE of an allocation. My guess is that you and tons of others didn’t make the limited cut and they sent your money back...

Maybe a phone call like "hey buddy, there ain't no chance we can get you a car, so we can send you a check or hold it against another car, what do you say?" would have been nicer than just sending the money back without explanation?

Paul Miller is an MSRP dealership. I've worked with Nick over there and had a great experience. They are one of the most well run dealers around.

Well at least they gave you a straight answer.
My # from one dealership for GT3 moved from #9 to #13 and last time I checked #23.
By the way, did dealers get allocation #s already?
