I thought the first 3 episodes were worth a watch. I was totally confused however on the 4th episode because they go from pre-season testing to the end of the season without hardly mentioning a single race or DNF, just the switch to Renault and greener pastures for 2018.

I think the purpose of the show was really about giving insight into the preseason development, testing and preparation process, rather than covering the season. They just added in the end result because it corroborated everything that happened in the preseason. Amazing that McLaren let them have that much unfiltered access.

I watched all four. Thanks for mentioning it here. I was unaware of it. I really enjoyed it. I like F1 a lot and enjoy the behind the scenes stuff. I noticed it was labeled season 1 on amazon. Would love it they are making a season 2. Wonder how the Renault power will work out for them this year.

A close friend has a company here in the US which is working to supply Mclaren with a whole new type of gearing. He believes they will enable to reduce parasitic losses inside engine and gearbox to levels unheard of even in f1. they are creating an entirely new supply chain system which makes them less beholden to unpredictable suppliers which have them by the *****.. some parts are ready for 2018 season. I wish mclaren, and by consequence my friend well I'm turning around a miserable few years.

McLaren was very open door for the entire 2017 seasons, really refreshing to see. They had their team director on regular interviews mid-race, mid-qualifying, after free practice to really give a lot of insight during the NBC coverage. Really speaks volumes of their culture being willing to talk openly about problems, strategy etc.

Should not have gotten rid of Ron Dennis.

Seems the F1 car is worse than the production models. ;-)
