not new news- but PTS canceled for my order

got the bad news today. sales manager there says his factory contact says no more PTS for GT3 production which we also know is through the end of they year.

Touring was sitting at 110 with Manhattan motor cars, order been in for a while. mine was one of 7 of their orders that got the ax.

first world problems, but its so hard to pick a color... prob going to be another grey statistic now. FAAAAAKKKK

wanted oak green to match my oak 964.

welp..

what are all you guys hearing??

TorqueChap 02-09-2018 03:00 PM

Hearing the same. A good buddy got his PTS Touring order axed. Porsche shouldn't be pulling this crap on orders that have already been placed.

sampelligrino 02-09-2018 03:05 PM

Damn sorry to hear that, it seems like Porsche is really having a tough time with the PTS/CXX orders on top of having to pump out as many GT cars as they can this year

hayn911gt3 02-09-2018 03:09 PM

Buddy of mines got his PTS denied as well; he was pretty sick. Congrats to everybody who did get PTS in the 1st and 2nd allocations though.

fxz 02-09-2018 03:13 PM

PTS denied when ordered as an option after 19th January ( or not yet confirmed before the deadline) its ok

Yippiekiaye 02-09-2018 03:14 PM

mine got denied. I'm going with Guards Red touring with silver accents

FORENN 02-09-2018 03:15 PM

From some private conversations I've had (not to mention various reports here on RL), I suspected we were going to start hearing about PTS cancelations soon. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you, OP.

Yep, that's me right Dave? =)

Confirmation from both my dealer in Ohio and the manager at Porsche Exclusive in LA that all PTS moving forwards has been cancelled. It's disappointing for sure, I was very excited about my Oslo blue build. I do feel fortunate though to have an allocation, albeit non-PTS...6 months til it locks for me to perseverate on color and options lol.

Yes sir. Bummed on the PTS but you've already got some of those. A Touring allocation is a rare bird indeed and the available pallet offers numerous options for a well-optioned car.

I know another poor guy here that had is PTS touring get the boot. Really sucks for these guys. Somehow I managed to get through the song and dance that is the PTS process and have mine approved.

sampelligrino 02-09-2018 03:54 PM

As a tiny consolation for those who unfortunately didn't get PTS they wanted, at least the standard color offerings on the .2 are stunning and diverse IMO :) $13K to go towards options instead!!!

Bossing 02-09-2018 03:56 PM

So since PTS is axed... are any of you guys able to switch to either GBM, SB, or RS?

I know those 3 are also on the cease & desist queue... if any of those were your 2nd choice.

dlb 02-09-2018 03:57 PM

It's bollocks. Let's march on the factory. Wait until the weather warms up a bit, yeah?

krell 02-09-2018 04:08 PM

For those of us that track our cars, $13k is A LOT of track time and consumables. But I understand the disappointment.

No PTS = bad news
GT3 allocation = great news
