Default Will Be Bubble Wrapping My Car

I have decided to store and Bubble wrap my Stealth .2 GT3 in Manual. I figured I will let it sit for (10) years and just do the necessary things to ensure it will be run perfectly in 2028. Will be interesting to see what it will be worth. These cars are not for driving but are investments. Hopefully I will reap a nice return. May be the best stock I bought who knows.

So so for all you guys driving an depreciating your cars I will have the last laught. In (10) years it will look perfect. And be worth a lot

I hope I am making the right decision. I have learned a lot on this forum the last 4 years and "value" it what it is about

When is your Telesto coming in? This is one of my top choices for a PTS RS.

If nothing changes it’s scheduled for August delivery.

I won’t be using bubble wrap tho, velour is the correct methodology.

So you mean you will wrap it, un-wrap it like 10 times in the next 10 years? That's A LOT OF bubble wraps! Maybe I should stock up on stocks on bubble wrap makers................

Might give you a run on the return

Jimmy, how many miles do you have on it now? Because anything more than 20 and it is already worthless.

I think that's a great idea but you should buy another one to drive now. When that one is old and worn out (10000 miles) you will have a nice new fresh one.

That's how I buy my pants. Buy extras to have when they stop making the ones I like.

Psh, good luck. Imagine how trashed the paint will get in the process of de-bubbling the car every time a service is required.

At a minimum, I'd be be keeping that car in a hermetically sealed, climate controlled bunker. Always on a battery tender, with automated equipment to fire up the motor, allow it to reach operating temp, and give it a few revs- all of which should occur on a perfectly scheduled 5-day interval.

This is the only way to truly protect your investment.

Meanwhile, I'll be popping off redline upshifts in the canyons in my "undesirable" 991.1

Make sure not to forget the backup generator, so if your power goes out you can keep the temperature and humidity levels in check......a week of high humidity will kill the value!!!

let's make a bet. you buy your GT3 and store it for, lets say, 15 years. I'll dump the same amount into a S&P500 fund and whomever has the most return at that time, get a round-trip anywhere in the world, first class, and in any hotel of their liking on the losers credit card. go.

When you remove the bubble wrap in 2028, make sure you follow the proper break-in process. Take it out of storage, and immediately rev it to 9000 RPM, and drive it like you stole it.
