unfortunatly it seemed like racing yellow.

mooty said he will not buy any more RS - if they clone the mango.
and because he is cycling and eating so healthy this would mean a customer loss for another potential 70 years. which translates into RS units with around 150 cars.

Maybe it is easier today with newer production methods and maybe newer carbon weaves.
I guess there are some carbon experts on this forum... Please enlighten us.
If the weave is exposed you have to have at least one layer of CF that is for visual appeal. This is generally not the same stuff/position that you would choose for strength so it's usually just an extra one shoved on to look pretty. Then they clearcoat it. So it's better to avoid this layer in general and then paint it. This is the case in the high end cycle industry where light weight is even more important. You do see race cars with exposed non-pretty carbon occasionally and I actually prefer it. Didn't lambo do one recently and had people whinging about finish?

spot on Gravs!

lambos carbon is "forged composites" like short carbon shred
https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/news/forged-composites-discussed-luciano-de-oto-head-advanced-composites-lamborghini
i don´t like lambo but the forged composite

in this times its hard to define pretty or non-pretty carbon.
is the underside of the frunk lid on a 991.1GT3RS pretty? i would say yes.

I think that when you understands why it looks a certain way - then you start appreciate it.

Charity - so every .1RS in the world is equal to the lowest price in the world.

430 Scuderia - msrp 305k now 210k moving to 675LT they are 100 back of msrp and so on.

458 Speciale - they are holding at or above msrp IMO due to it's the last NA certainly is not due to production.

The last of the NA .1 or .2 will do far better than what you are suggesting especially if it is a PTS or feather dusted never sees rain etc. The RS demand .1 or .2 is greater than supply - again .1 long term short term will be based on how many .2RS are produced. I understand across the pond prices are less but that does not reflect US.

I never thought would buy a Porsche but for the CGT - seeing the RS compete with the 458S and 675LT brought me to the table and it's keeping me there for good reason.

The RS any year is that good - Porsche knows it and will make sure the market knows it.

So everyone on here understands weave angle, filament length, ribbon width and lay down tension (and rate 1ms-1 vs 5 ms-1) Then one has to consider the epoxy type, injection/spray, layering and autoclave performance........This is not state of the art CF technology - its fine and fit for purpose but not special.

Honestly guys, when it comes to CF, Porsche aren't even fast followers.........................

Everybody says it's just MEH, but everybody wants one. Oh, will that mean over 15,000 991 RS's will be built when it's all said and done worldwide?

It sure looks like they are blocking the Weissach Package on that model. Not a huge fan of the carbon hood. It better be cheaper than the GT2 Weissach with the two tone paint job.

If they bring a yellow it will either be racing or a totally new yellow. They don't generally bring back an old colour.

Great, as long as it's not signal or speed, I won't suffer the pains of missing out
