Is the hood on 991.2 GT3 RS metal as standard and carbon with WP?
sry. i should have write it better. i meant exposed carbon with the ducts. 1to1 the hood (based on the looks) from the regular GT2RS.
i guess normal hood will be carbon as well / as .1RS but painted in body color. as the lizard green one is.

Lol - makes even more sense.

Didn't Porsche say that clear coating carbon is heavier then regular paint a couple of years ago?

just another crappy parts bin car.
as the 911R.

looking forward to see also things like this in the .2GT3RS:

pictures from the GT2RS.

all this is speculation.
except the exposed front fender parts... which we saw also at the lizard one.

I wonder... With all the Porsche purists clinging to the NA engine in the 911 GT cars, who would chose a 991.2 GT3 RS over a GT2 RS if money were no object.

I was hoping for a yellow. I have a green already. I won't be doing exposed carbon hood/WP. #1 our WP sucks in US and #2 I don't like the exposed carbon hood. But Yellow - thumbs up!

i do.
but only because 488GTO is also incoming.

if no 488 or 720 in the garage - i would choose the GT2RS over the .2GT3RS.
as long money would not be a topic.

I don't care som much if it is tubo or NA: Fun is important. And predictable driving. So far NA been fun and predictable.
The problem is that you can't test drive these cars and compare and choose the car you like most.

Please Porsche make the 2nd launch colour racing yellow not signal. I'd really be depressed over the impossibility of getting a car here in the UK if it was signal yellow as a non pts speccable colour.

Yes, AP said that painted is less weight than coated carbon.

Maybe the real reason was that to have clear coated carbon the carbon weave needed to be placed perfect and at that time that was a lot of work and maybe needed extra resin to get the perfect result.
Maybe it is easier today with newer production methods and maybe newer carbon weaves.
I guess there are some carbon experts on this forum... Please enlighten us.
