lets see what AP, Harris and others will tells us about the .2GT3RS
i guess they will find the right words - and we will open our wallets.

lets wait for details.

as always:
first of all - after the (a leaked) presentation - everybody is a bit underwhelmed.
and then things go crazy.

Hey but aaaall limited uh?
I think the 992 carrera chassis will be different. It is being designed to take the hybrid. I cant see many cross over parts fitting..

Re: door panels as mentioned in the article, if you zoom in you can see that the door pocket has been removed and replaced with a net with a hole at the top.

So why the two week delay? I can only think of two reasons;
1. they forgot to drop the rpms to 8800 again
2. the US dealers asked for more time to sell GT3's at huge markup.

Any other ideas?

Umm... you must be kidding. The 991.2 GT3 got a 6MT, a new race-bred engine, increased displacement, just to list a few of the additions/improvements. Not knocking the .1 GT3, but let's be real.

Interesting how taste evolves.
More of goddman ppl who try to get what they can't.

BTW, do we know WP or not?
And MSRP?

Sorry, I skimmed through the post so I could have missed it

Porsche fixed all the issues I didn't like about the 991.1 in the 991.2, and now this is the RS version with the right engine now.
This.

More black plastic is ugly. Why does everyone want the next car to look like the current top dog I.e. everyone making their car look like an R right now and now more black plastic to look like the 2RS.
True. And can't say I'm over or underwhelmed. Honestly kinda what was expected. I think for people that have a .1RS, like myself, we'll want one but only if the delta on price is reasonable. And that's different from one person to the next.

It will be interesting to see how many go from the .1 to .2 and how many are new RS buyers. I think prices will be in the ridiculous range, especially if you already own a .1RS. One thing is certain, ADM's will be higher than the .2GT3 and less than the GT2RS

Meh. I own a 991.1 so It doesn't show enough for me to consider upgrading. Then again - $75K delta may be the reason!

When is the official Porsche launch? 20th or Geneva?

Yes, love the Master P reference - have to say that brings back some laughs.

Imo the 991.2 Gt3 is a much bigger improvement over the 991.1 Gt3 than the GT3RS first and second generation 991. With the .2 Gt3 we got a new engine , better seats (at least in America), changes in suspension, brakes, transmission options, new electronics, new steering wheel, new tires, changes in front and rear of car, rear view camera along with lots more. I too would not likely upgrade to a .2 GT3RS if I already owned a .1 GT3RS or even a new .2GT3.

Has the RS ever been different of an improvement? lol. Aside from a displacement bump its very similar to past RS releases.
