lets see what AP, Harris and others will tells us about the .2GT3RS
i guess they will find the right words - and we will open our wallets. lets wait for details. as always: first of all - after the (a leaked) presentation - everybody is a bit underwhelmed. and then things go crazy. |

So why the two week delay? I can only think of two reasons;
1. they forgot to drop the rpms to 8800 again 2. the US dealers asked for more time to sell GT3's at huge markup. Any other ideas? |

Definitely an incremental upgrade, just like the .2 GT3. |

Kind of funny as people wanted to paint the black plastic on the 991.1 GT3 RS in the body color.
Interesting how taste evolves. BTW, do we know WP or not? And MSRP? Sorry, I skimmed through the post so I could have missed it |

Have you guys forgot already? The 991.2 had basically a brand new engine from the RSR. Power delivery is different, TQ curve is so different (more like Mezger). With all the RS setup and with your mid range TQ increase (Mezger had a lot of mid range as well, 991.1 didn't have much mid range), you will feel much faster on the street with better turn in then a GT3. Porsche fixed all the issues I didn't like about the 991.1 in the 991.2, and now this is the RS version with the right engine now.

Have to admit I got a kick out of the +1 mph top-end stated in the press release lol.

Why does everyone want the next car to look like the current top dog I.e. everyone making their car look like an R right now and now more black plastic to look like the 2RS. It will be interesting to see how many go from the .1 to .2 and how many are new RS buyers. I think prices will be in the ridiculous range, especially if you already own a .1RS. One thing is certain, ADM's will be higher than the .2GT3 and less than the GT2RS |
Meh. I own a 991.1 so It doesn't show enough for me to consider upgrading. Then again - $75K delta may be the reason!
When is the official Porsche launch? 20th or Geneva? |

Imo the 991.2 Gt3 is a much bigger improvement over the 991.1 Gt3 than the GT3RS first and second generation 991. With the .2 Gt3 we got a new engine , better seats (at least in America), changes in suspension, brakes, transmission options, new electronics, new steering wheel, new tires, changes in front and rear of car, rear view camera along with lots more. I too would not likely upgrade to a .2 GT3RS if I already owned a .1 GT3RS or even a new .2GT3. |
Has the RS ever been different of an improvement? lol. Aside from a displacement bump its very similar to past RS releases.
