Official: The new 991.2 GT3 RS!

Super underwhelming. Lizard interior seat is super Master P and straight out of a 2010 Gallardo. RWS calibration could likely be uploaded to .1 and new tires are a direct switch. What is the "new thing" here? Old .1 motor revved to 9k and made 525 also and was turned down at last minute (see prelaunch literature and videos online).

something have to suprise us.
hopefully.
but normally this feature would be already included in the aussi infos from the 6th of Feb....
hopefully there will be a fancy WP:
no isolation at all,
plastic/makrolon windows all around (not possible based on road homologation) but would be nice to get also the front/side three windows in line with the rear windows.
Ti cage
carbon rims (i would not want them)
new steel brakes without brakedust - as the new cayenne got them - but just as high performance variant if possible
more driving / PSC modes.
honestly: what we need more on our .1RS? what are we missing? its a perfect car.
hopefully.

Kind of funny as people wanted to paint the black plastic on the 991.1 GT3 RS in the body color.
Interesting how taste evolves.

I like the RS but this also makes the current GT3.2 seem "like a bargain" especially for/if msrp..... so who's trading-up?
As of right now I'm fity/fity.... I also like the current GT3.

It's funny ; I have my .RS for sale and was on the fence about it even as I wrote the check as I configured it . Now I look at the car in that green and wish I had gotten on the list for it . Amazing how a color can grab you - love the interior too . If I found a dealer who would take mine in trade on an allocation I'd probably do it . Agree it's a mild refresh , but how much room was there after all they put into the .1 ?

I find it interesting all the under welling comments and kind of hate for the new release but I bet it will be those same people that will be first in line buying the latest and greatest and like all the GT cars these will be tough to get with hefty premium.
More black plastic is ugly. Why does everyone want the next car to look like the current top dog I.e. everyone making their car look like an R right now and now more black plastic to look like the 2RS.

Have you guys forgot already? The 991.2 had basically a brand new engine from the RSR. Power delivery is different, TQ curve is so different (more like Mezger). With all the RS setup and with your mid range TQ increase (Mezger had a lot of mid range as well, 991.1 didn't have much mid range), you will feel much faster on the street with better turn in then a GT3. Porsche fixed all the issues I didn't like about the 991.1 in the 991.2, and now this is the RS version with the right engine now.

I like the styling changes.
Having said that, if I had a .1RS for the sole purpose of tracking it, the changes in the .2 (that we know about) wouldn't make me rush to pay a premium (possibly ADM) to get the new car. But if you love the color, missed out on the .1RS and have an opportunity to buy this car, the 4% increase in horsepower and styling changes certainly wouldn't turn me away.
I do believe however that there is an element of saturation in the market as previously mentioned... I can't imagine too many people trading in their manual .2GT3 to getting one of these like they may have from the .1GT3 to the .1RS
