Thanks for the input. Would the branded title be pretty obvious (listed on Carfax, etc..)?

Also I've seen some Carfax reports that note the engine out/ replacement but not all of them. My understanding is that they ALL had the engine out regardless of being documented on the Carfax?

All MY2014s had engines replaced. There were three categories of cars- those that had been previously delivered, some that had been held at port, and some held at the factory prior to shipping. For those at port or the factory not sure how or if Carfax would pick that up. I would always check Carfax, but it's not perfect.

Not right.

Some were buy back - mine was. And yes, it's super obvious on the Carfax and they can't be CPO.
Some had engine replaced, but weren't buy back - those were owners who were cool with getting a new engine and didn't invoke the buy back.
Some were after the mess and delivered as "normal" after the stop sale.

Edit: And note this engine replacement has nothing to do with the finger follower thing. They are still very much subject to that. My buddy just went through it with one of the non-buy back cars. I'd expect any 2014 if driven long/hard enough will be at significant risk of the finger follower death and replacement.

It has been for sale for 5-6mo and has come down ~17k since their initial asking price months ago. It looks reasonably optioned although it does not have the bucket seats I was looking for.

Does anyone know it? After speaking with the dealer, they seem motivated to sell it so I'm guessing 120k for a low mileage CPO is reasonable.

There are tons of 14s for sale. Would you guys just hold out for a '15 instead (an extra year of CPO warranty)???

LOL at original post.. That used to be my car a couple GT3's ago

Is this not the case for all 991.1 GT3s with the extended engine warranty?

Is there documentation to support more comprehensive coverage for MY 2015 and 2016 engines (beyond the relatively informal letter to current owners)?

What more do you need, the letter I received (along with just about everyone else) is precise, clear and covers the entire engine for 10 years or 120k from the start of the warranty on delivery of the original vehicle?

If you want Buckets then wait for one that becomes available that has them.

No sense in compromising
