The 991.2 GT3 isn’t as fast as a Turbo S on the big end, right?

No reason to get a turbo anymore, especially if you have a gt3. The only turbos worth getting are the manual transmission 997.1 versions with the Metzger engine, and maybe the 997.2 6 speed versions. The newer turbo engined Carreras are more fun than the current "turbos."

Clearly you have never owned a Turbo or you wouldn't make such an inaccurate statement I have heard on here in a long time.

Drag from a Dig & Laps on a track are two Totally different arguments.

From a dig = HP and reaction time. Turbo S all day long. It's simply Power to Weigh ratio.

Track laps will depend on track and most importantly the DRIVE MOD!! Only way to tell would be the Same driver, Same track, Same day, Same temps, and SAME TIRES!!

Give me either!! But Turbo S is preferred for my style!

Having driven both I can say the gt3 is definitely more exciting to drive. No shame in being a bit slower.

Pretty ignorant set of statements.

The Turbo is ALWAYS faster in a straight line, that's the whole point. As the flagship car, Porsche creates it that way. Oh, and the turbo is stupid simple to mod too. Even a lightly modded turbo will absolutely destroy any GT car from a dig, a roll, or wherever the GT car wants to bring it except a set of twisties. A seriously modded turbo is a force of nature and competes with hypercars.

The new gen 991TTS starting in 2014 are amazing cars. Hard to beat if you have one car that has to do everything.

And yes they are stupid fast from the factory...with a tune your in supercar territory.

With better than the OEM tires (P Zero), and driven by a skilled driver, a 991.2 TTS will be faster in a straight line and on most tracks than a 991.2 GT3.

There is no shame in that. It just is what it is.
