the problem is not if or can you daily a GT3 with winter tires, the question is WHEN will someone crash into you with their Camry and their bald all-season tires.....

Yup, give him a lot of props for driving in the winter/snow but it's sorta the same reason why I don't have a motorcycle...I just don't trust other people.

You can drive anything year round with the right tires.

Yep. People who haven't had experience with winter/snow tires don't really understand how much they help.

I haven't driven a GT3 in snow, but I have with many other RWD sports cars. With snow tires, I can out maneuver AWD SUVs who have "regular" tires. I lost count of how many stuck trucks I've passed (through deeper snow) just because I had the right tires.

However as others have mentioned, it is other drivers you have to worry about. And the low ride height.

My GT3 will be my winter beater here in the desert. No potholes, no snow, 4 " rain a year and temps above freezing 98% of the time. It's heaven for drivers

With a foot of snow the car is totally useless. The problem is ride height. If I was on budget I'd rather cut 30k in options and get a STI or something and have fun in the snow.

Had an Audi RS4 with winter rubber. That car could easily drive in 6" of snow, with no issues. The winter rubber made all the difference
