FYI - looks like no more GT3s in 2019 . . .
I was just reviewing my V200 order sheet for a December 2018 build and noticed that the model year for the car is 2018.
That implies to me that there will be no more 991.2 GT3s built into calendar year 2019, as cars generally switch to the next model year during the prior calendar year. If Porsche were were going to continue producing GT3s into 2019, you'd think a December 2018 build would certainly be considered a 2019 model year car. Since it isn't, it looks like Porsche will simply keep producing them through the end of 2018 and call it quits.
Of course, I could be wrong. But I know this corroborates what others have said and the reasoning seems sound to me.

How is your order status V200 already? I have an October build date that isn't even allowing input into the system yet.
Also, hard to believe that they'd stop production so soon with so much unmet demand.

This is what I’m hearing from multiple sources as well. Only question now is how many will be built total by end of 2018? I think with a Likely Gt3 RS And the GT2 RS total numbers will be less than people think . Time will tell.

Don't know the answer to your first question. I just got the status update yesterday.
On your second thought, I don't think it will be possible for Porsche to fully meet demand here. They have to consider the trade-off versus producing the 991.2 GT3 RS and new 992 cars. Given the timing, it wouldn't surprise me if they have to end GT3 production in order to clear up capacity for other models.
Agree. Think the GT3 RS will be highly limited. But who knows? Maybe the GT3 RS will have a short stint as a 2019 model year car?

I very recently heard the exact same thing by a friend who was provided an allocation last year for Q3 of this year. The SA was just passing along info he obtained from Porsche.

They can call it whatever "model year" they want to, but the production numbers will likely be similar to a typical two-year run. They have been churning these things out. I wouldn't read to much into it, they are making a lot of them.
