Lol you sound like a maniacal villain.... personally I have never viewed a car as an investment but a depreciating asset to be driven and enjoyed, so as long as I am able to drive and enjoy my GT3 when I want and where I want, that's all that I care about.

I think you can pretty much call the December end of production for the GT3's confirmed. my dealer told me the same last week. question is how many RS's they will build and when - I assume those will be 2019s that start production in June and will continue to be produced into 2019. we'll see.

If you read on the topic " looks like no more GT3's in 2019" what do expect to read? Move on if you are not interested in the rumors. Personally like to hear what some dealers are saying.
A lot better than the just got a new GT3 or GT3RS and all the comments "great car" etc. I pass now when I read that is what the topic is about.

We think GT2RS production is starting hence why we are seeing a decrease in GT3 production for North America.
Loess checks the VIN generation daily and sorry to say but there's a decline in GT3production right now. Could they be building more ROW cars? possibly, are they beginning GT2RS production? yes.

If I had to guess, they are going to start pumping out GT2RS' and GT3RS's this year. 250 a month for GT3RS's 100 a month GT3's and 50-75 a month GT2RS's. Then the 992 will start production in 2019. I've actually been seeing a lot of 991.2's on the road lately. They are actually selling them. There were 8970 911's sold in 2017 and less than 2500 of those were GT3's. I think many normal buyers could care less about NA vs Turbo, they just want a more comfortable luxury sports car. Most people don't like loud and would prefer the turbos actually. So those of you saying that GT cars make up the bulk of their 911 sales and profits, aren't completely correct. They are smart with marketing and want to keep these cars limited. They always produce a little less than true demand. So many people say they would purchase a GT2RS if they were given an allocation, but if it were built in high numbers and depreciated like a normal, car a lot of people wouldn't shell out the 350k for one. Porsche is smart. They want to keep the hype up and people talking about GT cars and longing for them. Meanwhile most of the non-Rennlist population is buying turbocharged 991.2 911's, Macans, Panameras and Cayennes.

I would take everything said on this topic w/ a large grain of salt. They built .1 GT3s long after the forums and their reliable sources said production would cease. There are way more .1 RSs out there than were predicted by the same sources.

True, but all the assumptions people have been making are pretty fair. The .1 GT3 had a stop sale due to the engines which lead to slightly longer production. .1 RS had historically larger production but was the only GT car being produced for most of its production. It seems the .2 GT3 was the only GT car being produced for most of Q3/Q4 2017 and is now tapering. With GT2RS, .2 GT3RS and maybe even more in demand models such as GT4/RS, Speedster, etc.... It wouldn't be out of the question to see slower GT3 production and it stopping in 2018.
