.2GT3 production will slow down as 2RS and .2GT3RS production takes up capacity. Less GT cars for the .2 generation v the .1 generation

I agree in part. They are still limited by other models (gt2 and RS). In past years some Gt3s were built for 3 years (although not as many per year). I think in the end we will see about 3000 cars (Gt3) in North America . Really not that many cars all things considered. Also the fact that it maybe the last NA Gt3 and the fact that they will all be labeled 2018 fares well for those of us that got an early production car as values will remain constant for all 2018 models. In any event I’m likely going to keep mine and I’m not too worried about the rest, although interesting to discuss.

I think you can pretty much call the December end of production for the GT3's confirmed. my dealer told me the same last week. question is how many RS's they will build and when - I assume those will be 2019s that start production in June and will continue to be produced into 2019. we'll see.

Of course it's possible, but when has Porsche ever distributed all of a model's allocations over a year in advance? And every .2 GT3 generation has spanned two model years.

I suspect all of these 'late 2018' builds will end up being late summer/early fall builds as Porsche shuffles its product mix to satisfy demand, with allocations for 2019 forthcoming (in markets where emissions are not an issue).

The .1 RS was only a 2016 Model and they made quite a few of those. I expect that there will be just as many .2s produced and being that they are switching over to the 992 platform; I suspect them slowing down 991 productions and accommodate the .2 RS, GT2 RS, GTS- They will build where the demand is for 2018 plus, I suspect a couple of Specialty models in limited runs like a Speedster ect. I expect the 2019 will be solely focused on the 992 platform and the new GT4

I doubt this.

Demand for the standard 911 cars (718's too) have been on the decline for several years, as reflected by NA sales of these cars. I don't see the 992 reversing that trend in any consistent way. Maybe an initial bump.

What seems to have consistent demand is anything Porsche with a "GT" in front of it. My guess is that's where you'll see production.

Not exactly...since September the monthly production has continued to drop for North American cars:

August: 10
September: 376
October: 310
November: 278
December: 178
January: 36 and counting...

Double check with your SA. I have Sept build and am V200. My understanding is since they made all 2018 production 2018 models that all 2018 allocations are live in the system. Don't know for sure.

I think the writing is, and has been, on the wall for some time now from various cleaning ladies.... we should just sticky a thread "Put your rumors/cleaning lady information here in regards to 991.2 GT Production"

These threads are starting to sound so repetitively annoying. No one knows. It's all rumors. So stop adding to the rumor mill. My dealer is telling me quite the opposite and are one of the biggest in the Northeast. They are pumping cars out faster than anticipated and allocations that were supposed to be built end of the year 2018 are starting to fill now. This means more allocations are coming for more people (hopefully I am one of those lucky people, and if not, life goes on I'll get something else).
