concrete facts
some have sold their .1RS to buy a .2GT3
because manual
because 9krpm
because motorsport engine valvetrain
I guess noone would sell their used .2GT3 to buy a used .1RS
which doesn't mean .1RS owners cant enjoy in peace their beloved cars

The 996 Gt3, to date is still my favorite driving GT3s ever. Makes all the ones after it seem large, heavy and somewhat unpure. They just got softer after (and I'm a 991 fanboy). Ask pretty much any collector who's had them all, or most of the motorsports guys and most will tell you there is a soft spot in their hearts for it. I miss that car more than any other I've sold. Well, other than my 04 996cup...

1. True
2. True. ...and especially in manual. Uh, sorry, not today. Have you been to any IMSA races in the past couple years? Have you walked the paddocks? Find me a LMS car either pro or amature with an MT. Please. I looked and couldn't find a single one. PDK is much more than a manual trans of yesterday or a "tiptronic" If you don't think understand this we can't help you. You may find PDK boring as F@!K but that doesn't me I or the roughly 50% of owners of GT cars do. The new Ford GT is DCT. The new GT500 may come with a 10 speed DCT. The majority of performance/supercars/hypercars come with DCT. So I guess none of these will be desired in the future and relagated to tiny used car lots with white shoe polish writing on their windshields? Sad. Makes me want to cry.
3. For a collector's item, it was. No one said it was a "collectors" item. None of these cars are Stuz Bearcats. For Porsche and their dealers that sold every one they made, it wasn't. Yeah, thats my point. Thanks. Initial value and resale value depend on whether supply outstrips demand. Demand on the .1RS has softened. Values of softened. Obvious to anyone watching. Alot of people pursuing the next latest and greatest right now. However, for a 3 year old car that is still demanding roughly $20K over list give or take depending on spec, mileage, condition, track use pretty damn impressive especially with an "inferior" engine. LOL. The numbers on the German forums all point to roughly 7000 WW. I've seen ~6900 referred to a couple times. Well why didn't you say so. Sheesh!!!! Finally some reliable data. German car forum banter. How could I have miss that. If you can point to a piece of concrete data proving your numbers I'm willing to listen but so far you've railed against everyone else's sources but haven't included your own. I set forth my calculations, my rationale and the data I was relying in the past. Not doing it again. Waste of time here. However, one major factor is that we do know the initial production run was 1500 WW and that ended as of March 2016. It was then continued from there for the second run ending Januay 2017.
4. I expect similar numbers but that would still put the .2 GT3 below the 991.1 RS. Very simply, nope.
5. The 997.2 RS is already worth the same money and should be higher in the future. Agree. Didn't my list show the 997.1 RS and the 991.2 GT3 ending up about the same? What are you arguing about again? My money is on the 997.1RS being worth more in a few years. Yep, without a doubt. There will be at least 3000 .2GT3 mts running around. Major difference is the 997.1RS is 10 years older with yet another "inferior" engine. Crazy how that works.
6. My data is really just the data presented all over this forum and others. If they're wrong and you're right - show me where you're getting your numbers and why you're the lone individual that thinks the number is half what everyone else seems to think. Those that say .1RS productoin is 5000, 6000 no, wait 6900 etc..etc.. are just talking to hear themselves talk. Laughable really. I do chuckle when I see that nonsense. Saying it no matter how many times doesn't make it accurate. Its not. I did the numbers based on known data and known capacities and did the math. Math doesn't lie.

Wow, lots of small penises in this thread.

So basically you only know one point of data. ...and everyone in Germany that probably has friends working for Porsche or got the exact number from their cleaning lady is wrong. Got it
I mean, I can admit I don't know the exact production total. ...but if that's all you're basing it on I can see that you don't have a clue either

I didn't realize the German guys on the German forums "probably" have friends at PAG. You seriously said that???? LOL. I can't. LOL. Oh, and I forgot about the cleaning ladies! LOL.I gave you a great data point to start. Hint hint. Yet you run back to the cleaning ladies? I don't need no stink'n cleaning ladies or Germans who maybe have "friends" at PAG. LOL. Too funny. This is exactly why I won't waste my time with you. You figure it out. Oh, forgot again, you did. You have the clening ladies.

No there are other reliable and fairly accurate known data points. I just handed you a major clue and data point but you scoff and run back to your cleaning lady instead without thinking it through. Another shining example of why I won't waste my time.
All I will say is the production ended with approximately 3500 units WW likely max. 1500 in U.S. Whether you agree or not matters not a wit to me. Like I said, I don't rely on no stink'n cleaning ladies.
And it does appear there will be as many .2GT3's in just mt alone.
cheers.
