high pitched engine whine
 

I have a 2015 GT3.

Today was the first time that I've ran the engine to redline on the street with the windows up, and I noticed a high pitched whine (goes with rpm in 1st and 2nd gear....obviously did not do that in 3rd because I was on the street) that became noticeable around 7000 rpm...going all the way to 9000.

Never noticed it at the track...but then the environment is different...windows down...exhaust noise...other cars etc.

Anyone else notice this....or should I be heading to the shop?

Also remeber on the track helmets muffle sounds a lot. This may be a nromal mechanical sound but hard to tell just by desription.

Actually, I watched a few YouTube videos of various GT3's, and I hear it on the videos. I think it's probably the differential that I'm hearing.

My 2016 has a high pitched whine at high RPM's as well. I figured it is normal, but almost sounds like a vacuum leak or something.
