$1600 will get me a set of power tubes for my MC2301s was my justification along with a general disdain for all things Bose. I suppose bose is worth it for the sub except I was not impressed with it, having second thoughts on skipping it, but whatever. I wish it was easy to add a sub. I added a JL audio one to my lotus (it had from the factory a single DIN blaupunct radio and four cheap speakers and was not great, but lightweight and the real sub made the difference. I kept the sub so if I get another lotus I can install it.

On a $185k car, for $1600 to me it's worth getting if you listen to any kind of music in the car, want to keep the stock look (not go aftermarket) and I think it's better for resale than not having it.
