Morning drive Manual GT3

Today was the first time to 181mph (290km), i had to slow down for a camel crossing. I guess you can only say that in a gulf country lol. The car felt very stable at those speeds. I also tried power shifting and it felt really good, I hardly lose anytime between shifts. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts triggers traction control intervention so it needs to be off for optimum performance. Sound above 7000 rpm is just out of this world especially in 4th and 5th gears. Glad i had full PPF and Ceramic coating to protect against rock chips.

Anyways here is a small video around the canyons.

The camel crossing i was mentioning. Also in mirror you can see a BMW bike and 991.1 GT3 KSA from this forum. Lovely drive 👍🏻

Well that's one of the most unusual pix I've seen on Rennlist... Would not want to bump into one of them, fun video!

Psup4s 01-12-2018 11:49 AM

that's great. you are fortunate to be able to pull that speed on those roads

GT3 KSA 01-12-2018 11:57 AM

@LSs1Power glad to have a fellow GT3 owner in my city to cruise with finally and looking forward to many upcoming rides

Don't want to hijack your post but for the rest, i hit 318 km today almost 198 mph

Nice!

Those are some seriously quick upshifts!

You are almost as quick as the PDK-S tranny! Well done.

Can someone explain what power shifting is? Is that not lifting off throttle? And if so is that a new feature only on the GT3, or can other porsche manuals do that as well?
And also, amazing car, congrats!

Great vid.. powershift makes manual so close to pdk speed

Archimedes 01-12-2018 01:11 PM

I gotta ask... where those wild camels or was there an owner/herder nearby?

You can power shift all manual cars, some are better than other in taking it. Yes its shifting without lifting the throttle. The GT3 is the best manual transmission i have ever driven and this is coming from a guy with lots of manuals cars.

Great stuff, thanks for posting and sharing... what a thrill it must have been for both GT3s!
