Anybody buy or sell a 911R recently?

Well stated and replace the model with every GT model made. Same old song and dance. Same thing will have to all these .2’s. Next engine will be better, the market will correct and the next model will be out that every last person with a ton of money will have to have first for C&C. It is the porsche brand story.

Governments are doing it wrong. The key to reduce ICE emissions and prevent catastrophic climate change is to give everyone a 911 R since they never get driven.
This one has the added bonus of reduced animal suffering so it's truly - "die grüne Spezifikation."
All BS aside though it's refreshing to read that someone bought the car mostly due to the limited numbers (as fair a reason as any) and is accepting of the fact that they'll take some sort of loss on it due to the change in the market. Hopefully the Scottsdale auction on that PTS green one the other day is indicative that your friend's loss won't be much. I think there's plenty of people okay with not having cow carcasses on their dashboard but not having A/C would have been tough.

I personally don't think the leather is the back breaker that A/C delete was, and it looks like a great spec otherwise (another R was on here awhile back: Canadian spec with sofas, standard dual mass flywheel, and no stripes of any sort and that one got butchered)
But I will say I am not in the echelon of buyers who can purchase this car, and for this kind of money I would for sure be picky
Jeff on IG (has an amazing collection of 911s in LA - I think he is on RL too), his R doesn't seem to have the full leather and seems like he is loving it all the same
If the car sells OP, post the number here let's see what it went for..I would take this spec over the PTS Acid green one that sold for $435+premium and keep the change

AC, SMFW and houndstooth interior are the 3 biggies for the cars, that's def true. I know I wouldnt have bought one without the leather interior, but that was also at a premium, so I was picky, if the car was 30k less, I'd have been less picky haha

Clearly. I was being facetious.
If I didn’t have an order in for a Touring, I would have made an offer. There are approx 18 911Rs on cars.com and this one is among 2-3 that are optioned close to how I’d spec it. Lack of full leather wouldn’t be a deal breaker.

Just my .02 as an R owner, as well as someone who has had a 991.1 and .2 GT3, RS etc, the R is in a league of its own. Nothing compares. Also had a 4.0, and frankly the one 911 I would never sell is the R. CJ always gives me **** saying I never keep anything, so for me to say I will never sell it says a lot. I love mine, it is unique, unassuming and all around special, to drive. If I could, I would pick up a second to daily drive over anything else.....
