A funny thing is that Manthey Racing with their own 991.1 GT3 RS is using N0 spec tires.

I think only they only have it for RS, since its a 20 and 21 inch wheel. The N1 is what comes on the 2018 GT3 and also available for the 2015.

Here they are, the N2s. My SA said they are much lighter than the N1s. Thought that was interesting.

If I remember correctly:
N0: 918
N1: 991.1 GT3 RS (Better grip then N0 but also stronger for the heavy rear load)
N2: 991 GT2 RS and I assume the 991.2 GT3RS

I'm guessing that you should look for the tire that is on the 991.2 GT3 in its latest N-version
Correct. But the N rating don't carry across sizes.

So the N ratings in the 918/GT3RS sizes are different than the N ratings in the GT3 sizes.

I believe the latest N rating on the GT3 sizes are N1, which is equivalent to the N2 spec GT3RS/918 tires compound wise.

When the 918 first came out, it was wearing N0 sized Cup2s, but the .1 GT3s already are wearing N0 spec ones. The 918 N0 spec simply means they are ECO-rated. When the .1 GT3RS came out with the same sized tires as the 918, it wears non-eco-rated Cup2s hence the N1 designation, which are roughly the same as the N0 in GT3 sizes. With the GT2RS Michelin have a new N compound, so they called it the N2, and these updated compounds are also used in the GT3 sizes with the N1 designation. A little bit confusing if one is not paying attention.

^ Nice info. Had seen the 3 compound referred to as N21 before.

Perfect - getting rid of rotational mass that far away from the center of the wheel is really good.

BTW: Your looks so good!

Trofeo-R prob still faster than N2, certainly N0 and N1. Why not just use those if you want more speed?

The N21 was suppose to be a N1 but it's a fat finger syndrome.

LOL. Good to know. If that's the case, then the Trofeo-R is still considerably faster than the N2/N1 compound.

It's just a shame they are so bloody expensive in 20" sizes.
