.2 GT3 - Oil Overfill Warning came on AFTER driving car for a month
Had the car for a few weeks and have driven it occasionally (mileage now 450 miles).
No previous warnings then yesterday just as I was rolling out of the driveway.
Oil has not been topped up, it is as it was delivered. Anyone had this happen?

The car is always garaged and temp in winter in the garage is around 50-60F. The min temps outside during the times I take the car out in winter are above 35-39F.

most likely condensation build up in the oil. Drive car harder and longer and more. Peter speaks truth.

Appreciate all your input and will drive the thing hard as soon as the ice disappears and temps get higher.
Update, I just undid the oil cap (it was pressure tight) and screwed cap back on. Oil level warning gone!
Question, could ambient pressure in the engine have caused the issue?

Mine has 120 miles on it and gave me the same warning. Was just starting it to move to a new spot in the building its stored so didn't get a chance to drive and see if it goes away.

I had this happen multiple times so far. Heck, it is on now. Change oil, get the reading perfect, then a month or so later overfill warning. Usually we
hen idling at a light on a slight slope. The dealer says it is better to be a bar low, as that is how mechanics do it. Surprised this wasn’t fixed.

Btw, tried to reset it yesterday. Popped open rear lid, remove/replaced oil cap, got message that oil measurement was in progress. Then message went off, and bar reading was green. I thought “awesome, because i am over that warning” when 5 seconds later the warning came back on.
I am going to do an oil change today and make sure it is a bar low. This and the TPMS system are seriously flawed. I will be taking the car into the dealer to have the TPMS system looked at next week.

Blame it on Porsche's pathetic attempt at getting rid of the dip stick.
Their electronic measuring system never worked. Ever. Across like 5 generations.
Porsche mechanics ALL hated it.
