Many cite CGT. Have to agree it’s one of my all time favorites from an aesthetic and purity standpoint, but like most, I’ve never had the opportunity to drive one or even be a passenger in one driven. I did get to at least sit in the driver’s seat of one at my local dealer when one was actually for sale there new for around sticker the year it was launched. In hindsight, wish I had the means and foresight then to buy it!

Saw a video review of one recently by a guy who drove one for sale used about a year ago at Beachwood. Made me realize though how very tricky it is to drive due to the unusual clutch.

In starting this thread I probably should have clarified.... I meant any 2 Porsche sports cars (variants of 911s, Boxster/Cayman, CGT, 918, 912, 356, whatever), not DD cars like Panamera, Cayenne, Macan.

hah! Your pair are exactly what I’ll have after my GT3 Touring comes this spring. And I’ve always had a weakness for Targa too since a 996 Targa (in Lapis Blue) was my first Porsche back in 2003. My only modification to your wish list is that I’d have a 991.1 Targa 4 GTS or 4S manual vs a 991.2 because I prefer the NA engine. If I were to have a 991.2 Targa 4S, it’d have to be the limited Design Edition version in Etna Blue.

Interesting, little love for the halo 918 thus far. Any way, the one I have, 997.2S red/beige, plus a 991 generation GT3 in a bright PTS color like pastel orange, viper green, etc. would be my ideal 2 Porsche garage...T

Current models... easy.
I'd take a GT3 Touring and a GT3RS.
Does it get any better?

Of course money is an object so we have to set constraints. I have two modern Porsches in my stable. Do I want more? Of course. Do I want a GT3, GT2, 918, CGT? Of course but this is what I have in my garage and they are awesome: A 981 Boxster S and a 991.2 C4.

I needed the perfect roadster (which would be a 981 Spyder but they were not out yet when I bought my 2014). It's red, Manual, convertible, mid-engine, 2 seater. PSE w/SC. PERFECT!

I also needed a winter beater so I got a 2018 C4. It's a coupe. Very luxurious inside, AWD for the winter + wide butt, 2 additional seats for any emergency and it is the Porsche icon. It's also a manual with PSE/SC.

Both cars have a ton of other options: Bose, Full two tone leather, heated ventilated seats, blah blah blah.....

They are a perfect combo for me. I am living the dream.
